摘要： An imaging apparatus that is capable of realizing good cleaning characteristics and transfer characteristics, and obtaining a high quality image using toner having a high average roundness is provided. The imaging apparatus includes an image carrier, a charge unit, a developing unit, a transfer unit, and a cleaning unit. The transfer unit may directly transfer a toner image onto a recording medium that is carried by a transfer belt, or transfer the toner image onto the transfer belt first to then transfer the toner image onto the recording medium from the transfer belt. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning blade and a brush roller. The toner used in the imaging apparatus has an average roundness Ψ within a range of 0.93˜0.99, and a friction coefficient μs of the image carrier satisfies a condition, friction coefficient μs≦3.6−3.3×average roundness Ψ.

摘要： An image forming apparatus that can prevent the generation of filming with the simplest possible configuration even if a plurality of photosensitive member linear velocities are provided and the AC frequency of the charge apparatus is fixed. A charge apparatus that charges by uniformly superimposing on a photosensitive member an alternate current bias voltage with a fixed frequency over a direct current bias voltage as the charge bias voltage; an exposure apparatus that exposes the surface of the charged photosensitive member based on image data, and writes a latent image; a developing apparatus that supplies toner to and makes visible the latent image formed on the surface of the photosensitive member; a transfer apparatus that transfers the visible image on the photosensitive member to a transfer medium; and a cleaning apparatus that cleans the surface of the photosensitive member after transfer. The image forming apparatus further comprises a filming removal mode that removes filming on the surface of the photosensitive member; and the filming removal mode is selected corresponding to the plurality of photosensitive member linear velocities.

摘要： By reducing the number of seek operations in an operation to play back a signal from a recording medium, the amount of data temporarily stored in a read buffer memory employed in a signal recording/playback apparatus is large enough to be output as a playback signal during a seek operation, allowing a continuous playback operation to be carried out. In order to reduce the number of seek operations, a signal is always recorded onto the recording medium in continuous free areas each having a size equal to or larger than a predetermined recording/playback time length which is typically set at 1 minute. If it is necessary to insert an additional signal having a length smaller than the predetermined recording/playback time length into a point of insertion in an area already occupied by an existing signal, a continuous free area with a size equal to or larger than the predetermined recording/playback time length is newly allocated to the additional signal. The additional signal is then recorded in the free area instead of being inserted into the point of insertion. Since the free area is larger in size than the length of the additional signal, the rest of the free area is filled up with a portion of the existing signal adjacent to the point of insertion.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for recording and reproducing a TV broadcasting signal includes a CM detecting unit, a write data processing circuit, a recording system control circuit, and a recording medium. The CM detecting unit operates to detect if a TV broadcasting signal composed of a RF signal inputted through an antenna is now a CM.
