The tag mode displays one or more visually perceptible tags in conjunction with the video scene. Each tag is associated with a visually perceptible item appearing in the video scene. The tags are categorized into a plurality of categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a first one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the first one of the categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a second one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the second one of the categories.

A user can therefore find an object chapter and scene quickly and easily.

摘要： A media player configured with a first removable memory reader, such as a DVD drive, and a second removable memory reader, such as a flash memory reader, adapted to communicate with a removable memory containing filter data. The media player is configured to allow filtered playback of a multimedia presentation, such as a movie. Filtered playbabk causes certain portions of the multimedia presentation to be skipped, muted, blurred, cropped, or otherwise modified to eliminate or reduce potentially objectionable scenes, language, or other content. The second memory reader provides a convenient medium for the loading of filter information, whether data files, executable program code, or the like, to local memory of the media player to employ during filtered playback. Alternatively, the filters may be accessed from the removable storage media during playback rather than loading to local memory.

The recorder reproduces the captured video of the area on a monitor recorded in the way that a reproduction speed of the captured video in a section in which the motion is not detected on the monitor is faster than a reproduction speed of the captured video in a section in which the motion is detected, based on the information relating to the motion.

An interactive television application may determine whether the user's equipment has sufficient resources (e.g., tuners or space) to record a program selected for recording. If the interactive television application determines that the user's equipment does not have sufficient resources, the interactive television application may select, automatically or in response to a user instruction, the program for recording with a network recording device. In some embodiments, the user may have to pay for the use of the network recording device, or may be required to purchase a given tier level of service. The interactive television application may play back programs from the network recording device as VOD offerings, or may direct the network recording device to transfer recorded programs to the user's equipment when it has sufficient resources.

摘要： An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a “delete all transferred images” which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
