Abstract:
A pallet stop generally comprises a support frame, an internal enclosure, a rotating actuator, a pivoting stop, and a counterweight assembly. The rotating actuator has an upper arm portion that extends just above the surface of the enclosure. The enclosure is received in and supported by the support frame. As a pallet load moves across the enclosure, its leading edge will contact the upper arm portion of the rotating actuator, which causes it to rotate clockwise. A lower portion of the rotating actuator is positioned below the pivoting stop. As the rotating actuator rotates clockwise, the lower portion of the rotating actuator moves downwardly, thus allowing a counterclockwise rotation of the pivoting stop. Once the pallet load travels over the rotating actuator, the counterweight assembly causes the rotating actuator to return to the upright position to ensure a proper positioning of the pallet load.
Abstract:
An empty pallet stacking unit having a pallet loading and stacking end and a stacked pallet discharge end features a pallet hopper which is reversibly moveable from a pallet loading and stacking position to a stacked pallet discharging position, the pallet hopper being pivotally linked to a fixed support through a 4-bar linkage. Optionally, the empty pallet stacking unit may be cooperatively coupled to a stacked pallet staging unit.
Abstract:
A pallet stop apparatus for interrupting the motion of a pallet or other item along a conveyor system includes a stop head having both an open arm depending and a stop arm depending therefrom and a front surface for engaging a pallet. The apparatus also includes a slide latch having a first end and a second end connected to a means for imparting generally linear motion to said slide latch to engage the open and stop arms of the stop head as said slide latch moves.
Abstract:
A device for stacking empty transport pallets and removing empty transport pallets from a stack has a pallet receptacle with a first leg and a second leg positioned at a right angle to the first leg. The pallet receptacle is configured to receive a pallet stack of pallets, wherein the pallets are supported with a narrow side on the first leg while the lowermost pallet of the pallet stack rests flat on the second leg. A pivoting device is provided to pivot the pallet receptacle between a first end position, in which the first leg extends at a slant to the horizontal, and a second end position, in which the first leg extends substantially vertically.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method and apparatus for rearrangement of products stacked on transport elements and replacement of transport elements, in which the stack is grasped and stabilized at least on two opposite sides by clamping jaws, in that a foot element carrying the transport element can be pivoted out and the transport element removed from under the stack, while this stack is held in the upright or sloped position.
Abstract:
A container transport system for transport of an article, in particular a baggage item, includes a container for receiving an article, with the container made of flame-resistant, wear-resistant and translucent plastic material which is stable in shape. The container has an underside which is formed with touch surfaces extending in a transport direction by which the container is advanced by a conveyor between a receiving end and a discharge end. The conveyor is provided with a guiding and/or driving engagement assembly for cooperation with the touch surfaces of the container.
Abstract:
An apparatus moves a plurality of transport media along a path of travel. The plurality of transport media define at least two groups of transport media, where each group of transport media has substantially identical transverse dimensions with respect to one another within one group of transport media, while having substantially different transverse dimensions with respect to another group of transport media. The apparatus includes a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted in fixed locations spaced along a path of travel. At least one motor is provided for driving at least one of the rollers in rotation. At least one transport media is supported on the rollers for movement along the path of travel in response to rotation of the roller by the motor. Each transport media has at least one elongate support member continuously engageable with at least two rollers simultaneously while the transport media moves along the path of travel. A lift workstation can be located along the path of travel for transferring a workpiece carried by one transport media to another transport media.
Abstract:
An automated storage system for storing and picking articles delivered on incoming load carriers such as pallets comprises a device (depalletizer) for separating the article packing units, a tray storage facility (130) for storing the packing units (15) on trays (10), a take-off conveying system (42, 45, 135) for removing and feeding the packing units (15) in sequence for loading onto order load carriers, and a loading station (140) for loading the packing units (15) in a defined loading sequence onto order load carriers (20) for dispatch e.g. by lorry. The invention enables fully mechanized and automated storage and picking of the articles.

Abstract:
A conveyor system for transport of containers, in particular an airport baggage handling system, includes a conveyor having a curved transport path with one end defining an entry zone and another end defining an exit zone. The containers are moved by a container propulsion mechanism along the curved transport path between the entry and exit zones, wherein the curved transport path is constructed for movement of the containers in an inwardly inclined disposition for reducing centrifugal forces.
