Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for applying flowing media to a surface. Said device comprises a container for the media with at least one opening which is located above the surface and can be deaerated and a mopping or applicator device which is attached to a handle. In addition, the device has a flow-regulating hose which can be shut off, for conveying the media form the container by force of gravity to an outlet on the mopping or applicator device. In addition, the device has a portable unit which is worn on the back, comprising supporting and fixing straps and a mounting plate which is fitted to said unit and which has a rapid-action coupling device. The container has a resealable exit opening at one end with a connecting sleeve and a resealable fill opening at the opposite end, in addition to a hose adapter which can be connected to the connecting sleeve of the exit opening. Said adapter has a shut-off device and a rapid-action coupling for the hose with a drip-protection unit.
Abstract:
A weighted scrub brush has a brush head defining a leading end, a trailing end, a pair of laterally opposing ends, a downwardly facing bristle support surface, and an upwardly opening weight recess. A weight having first and second opposing ends is removably positioned within the weight recess. Mating support members support the first end of the weight, while a cantilevered support latch partially overlaps the second end of the weight to secure the weight within the weight recess. A conduit extends from a liquid intake port, through the handle, and to the brush head to dispense liquid from the conduit to the plurality of bristles. A roller is secured to a central body portion of the brush head forward of the handle, such that the brush head may be pivoted to a forward, inverted position to roll the brush.

Abstract:
A mop assembly including a mop head and handle, and a supply of liquid connected to a valve assembly on the handle. The valve assembly includes a replaceable length of resiliently flexible tubing having a portion extending transversely through the handle and members on opposite sides of the length of tubing that are relatively movable between a closed position pinching together opposite sides of the tubing to stop the flow of liquid through it, and a spaced open position affording flow of liquid through the tube. A storage cart includes a main portion and a tray portion having a receptacle for receiving the mop head mounted on the main portion for relative movement between a vertical closed position at which the main portion covers an open side of the receptacle; and a horizontal open position at which the mop head can be inserted into or removed from the receptacle.
Abstract:
A surface working apparatus or cleaning implement that is useful in removing soils and other undesirable items from carpeting, hard flooring or any surface. More particularly, the present invention relates to a floor cleaning apparatus having a handle and an absorbent cleaning pad which is removably attached to a cleaning head and disposable after use. An aerosol canister is connected to the apparatus and a trigger is used to selectively dispense the contents of the canister in front of the cleaning head for cleaning the flooring. Various locking means are added to the floor cleaning tool to ensure proper floor chemical application.
