    摘要: A phased array antenna may include a substrate, a plurality of phased array antenna elements carried by the substrate, and a central controller for providing beam steering commands and beam shaping commands. Furthermore, the phased array antenna may also include a plurality of element controllers connected to the phased array antenna elements and the central controller. Each element controller may store at least one position related value based upon physical positioning of the associated phased array antenna element on the substrate, and determine a beam shaping offset based upon the stored at least one position related value and a received beam shaping command from the central controller. Each element controller may also determine at least one phased array antenna element control value based upon a received beam steering command and the beam shaping offset.

    摘要: A phased array antenna includes at least one digital modulator for phase shifting the signal of at least one antenna in the array. Each modulator includes a digital modulating element where the element can be a quadrature modulating element. A delay element using a digital modulating element is discussed. A method for phase shifting the antennas in an array using digital modulators as phase shifters is described, as is a method for phase aligning multiple signals received over multiple paths, again using digital modulators. The phase shift is applied to local oscillator signals that are subsequently mixed with information-carrying signals.

The mixed signals 108 are provided to a blind source separation processor 110. The blind separation processor 110, in this case an Independent Component Analysis element, is comprised of a group of processes that are configured to separate mixtures of signals blindly. The blind separation processor 110, provides three outputs, a first signal output 112, a second signal output 114, and a third signal output 116.
