Abstract:
Aspects of the present invention comprise systems and methods for detecting and managing peripheral devices that perform outside a given performance envelope. In some aspects, one or more threshold values may be determined prior to or during implementation by heuristic or other methods. These threshold values may then be used to determine device performance. In some aspects, threshold values may relate to performance parameters comprising device failures, consumption levels, output quality and other parameters. In some aspects, multiple threshold values may be used to determine device performance. In an exemplary aspect, a sheet usage threshold, a tone usage threshold and a power usage threshold may be used to determine if a device is an outlying device. In some aspects, performance below an excellence threshold value may indicate that a device has excellent performance.
Abstract:
A system and method are presented for providing electronic documents to online meeting participants. The method schedules a first online meeting between network-connected computer devices. A meeting server establishes a repository for the first online meeting. The meeting server receives an electronically formatted document sent to a first communication address assigned to the first online meeting repository, and stores the document in the first online meeting repository. A first computer device is able to log into the meeting server and access the document from the first online meeting repository at a time prior to, during, or after the first online meeting. Likewise, the meeting server is able to store a document received prior to, during, or after the meeting.
Abstract:
The embodiments of the present invention provide for a direct submit application module adapted to process image-only portable document format (PDF) documents, encrypted PDF documents, and image documents. The DSA, based on an output device's features or capabilities, adaptively performs host-based emulation so as to provide users with an expanded set of features, which may not be supported by an output device. In some embodiments, the DSA may perform an image-bypass PDF processing, perform processing on an image document so as to provide an expanded set of image formats, and/or perform decryption, if appropriate, on encrypted PDF documents.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for load balancing toner use of multiple printer devices such that the printer devices more evenly consume their respective toner in the rendering of print jobs. A printer device printing order is dynamically set based on printer toner, wherein the dynamic nature of setting the includes monitoring toner status on each printer device, monitoring toner levels on each printer device, setting the preference order by toner status, setting the preference order by toner level, redirecting print jobs from out-of-toner printer devices to printer devices with toner, redirecting print jobs from low-toner printer devices to printer devices with toner, and/or the like. Accordingly, the printer device printing order is dynamically set according to toner utilization, while still preserving the load balancing of print jobs in the system.
Abstract:
A system for partial brute force collation of a print job includes a printing device having ROPM capability and memory. The printing device receives at least a portion of the document from a source device. The memory stores at least a portion of the document. The printing device has a memory printing mode and a brute force collation mode. In the memory printing mode the portion of the document stored in memory is printed. In the brute force collation mode any portion of the document not stored in memory is printed. The system can also alternate between the memory printing mode and the brute force collation mode for each of the N copies of the electronic document of the print job such that the resulting printed output is collated.

Abstract:
A context-aware printing method and system invoke contextual rendering tags to realize more flexible printing. The contextual rendering tags provide information about the nature or purpose of print elements in a document and are used to identify and selectively modify print elements in a given print instance of the document at the discretion of the user. The contextual rendering tags provide added flexibility in printing by enabling a user to make a broad array of purpose-driven modifications and enabling a document to be printed in multiple instances and in any sequence with modifications indicated by all contextual rendering tags, modifications indicated by a subset of contextual rendering tags or no context-based modifications. For example, print elements that are designated nonessential by contextual rendering tags can be excluded from a printed document in a first print instance to reduce ink consumption and included in a printed document in a second print instance where an unaltered document is required.

Devices, methods, and computer-readable media for tagging web page content according to a content access level for entry into a web page content database, and filtering in response to a dynamic web page construction request based on the access level of the requesting source.
Abstract:
An effective method for securing the release of the transmission, rendering, and outputting of an imaging/print job at an imaging device, for imaging/print jobs that originate in traditional print/spooling subsystems include the following steps. A print job header is associated with an imaging/print job to form a headed imaging/print job. A secured release input (that may be input at a secured release input apparatus of the client host device) is associated with the print job header by including a secured release indicative command/code in the print job header. The headed imaging/print job is divided into data packets. Initial data packet(s) are transmitted to the imaging device. It is determined whether the secured release indicative command/code is present in the initial data packet(s). Acceptance of subsequent data packets of the headed imaging/print job are prevented if the secured release indicative command/code is present in the initial data packet(s). When a secured release input is received on a secured release input apparatus of the imaging device, subsequent data packets of the headed imaging/print job are accepted.
