摘要: A method and system for remote servicing of an industrial printer includes obtaining, on a processor, sensor data that indicates values output by a sensors configured to measure physical phenomena related to a plurality of components of the industrial printer. Also obtained, on the processor, is parameter data that indicates values for parameters that indicate user settings for operation of the industrial printer. It is determined, on the processor, a service issue related to the industrial printer based on the sensor data and the parameter data, It is also determined, at least in part on the processor, an action to be performed on the industrial printer in response to the service issue. Furthermore; the action is caused to be initiated. In some embodiments, the action is initiated at one facility different from a facility where the industrial printer is located.

摘要: A terminal apparatus includes a driver. The driver includes a switching unit and has a dedicated mode and a standard mode, the dedicated mode making it possible to use all functions of a predetermined image forming apparatus, the standard mode making it possible to use a function common for plural image forming apparatuses. The switching unit performs switching from the dedicated mode to the standard mode in a case where it is determined that the dedicated mode is inapplicable after the dedicated mode has been started up.

摘要: An image forming system in which a plurality of image forming apparatuses each of which is equipped with an image forming section and a control section are connected and which is configured such that each image forming apparatus can form an image on the same recording sheet, wherein the control section has a function to perform a first activation control to in tendem activate the plurality of image forming apparatuses and a second activation control to independently actuate each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses. With this configuration, activation and stop are managed appropriately to each operating state, whereby wasteful power consumption is reduced.

摘要: A remote management system includes imaging apparatuses and a central managing apparatus configured to manage the imaging apparatuses. The imaging apparatuses and the central managing apparatus are connected to mutually communicate with each other. The respective imaging apparatuses notify the central managing apparatus of one or more counter values of one or more users, one of the counter values corresponds to a number of images processed by corresponding one of the users by using one of the imaging apparatuses. The central managing apparatus determines a fee to be charged to one of the users according to a total counter value of the one of the users. The total counter value is a sum of the counter values of the one of the users notified by the imaging apparatuses.

摘要: An apparatus cooperation system including first and second apparatuses connected via a network to share a function, the first apparatus including a first counting unit counting a number of the output objects output by the first output unit based on a first counting rule, the second apparatus including a second counting unit counting a number of the output objects output by the second output unit based on a second counting rule. Further, when an output condition to output the image data by the first apparatus and the second apparatus is accepted, the first counting unit counts a total number of the output objects output by the first output unit and the second output unit based on the first counting rule.

摘要: A system for accounting for a print job includes a print device having a database, and a server having a database. The print device and the server communicate via a network. The print device and/or the server have means for dynamically updating accounting information for the print job that communicates with the print device and the server via the network. The accounting information resides in the database of the print device and/or the database of the server. A method for accounting for a print job includes providing at least one print device having at least one database and at least one server having at least one database. The method includes communicating between the print devices and the servers via a network for dynamically updating accounting information for the print job stored on the databases of the print devices and/or the databases of the servers.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling remote management of printing devices and for providing access control of printing devices within secure health policy based networks. A printing device transmits device status information to a status server and operational health information to a compliance server. The compliance server receives a health policy for the network from the status server. The compliance server evaluates the operational health information using the health policy and configures the printing device for operations within a secure portion of the network if the operational health information is in compliance with the health policy.

摘要: A consumables stock subtraction processing unit in a management apparatus calculates a counter value used in the determination of stock subtraction for a consumable product by using the value of a counter included in a residual amount notification acquired from an image formation apparatus. When the difference of the determination counter value calculated upon receipt of a previous residual amount notification and a determination counter value calculated upon receipt of a new residual amount notification is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, stock subtraction processing for the consumable is performed.
