Abstract:
A method of reporting RAT capability for a mobile device of a wireless communication system includes including capability information only associated with a first RAT in a capability reporting message of the first RAT, and transmitting the capability reporting message to a network of a second RAT via the second RAT.
Abstract:
Methods and mobile communication devices for reporting an MDT log are provided. The method is used in a mobile communication device in a service network comprising a plurality of cells. The method comprises transmitting, by the mobile communication device, an MDT log to the service network via a serving cell upon receiving a request message for the MDT log; and terminating, by the mobile communication device, the transmission of the MDT log in response to a change of the serving cell from a first cell to a second cell in the service network.
Abstract:
A method of handling a packet-temporary mobile subscriber identity, hereinafter called P-TMSI, for a network of a wireless communication system includes sending a first message through a first procedure to assign a first P-TMSI to a mobile station using a second P-TMSI, receiving a second message corresponding to a second procedure and the first P-TMSI before the network receives a response message of the first message corresponding to the first procedure, and then accepting the second message.
Abstract:
A method of handling multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) data reception on multiple component carriers for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The mobile device has a maximum component carrier capability indicating the maximum number of component carriers accessible for the mobile device. The method comprises the steps of receiving a broadcast message or a dedicated message sent by the network, obtaining information about the number of the component carriers configured for the MBMS data reception, from the broadcast message or the dedicated message, and sending a first message to inform the network of a component carrier capability indicating the number of the component carriers on which the mobile device is not configured by the network to receive the MBMS data.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting downlink data after re-establishment of a universal terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN) acknowledged mode (AM) radio link control (RLC) entity includes receiving a plurality of RLC service data units (SDUs) from a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer of the UTRAN; dividing the received RLC SDUs into RLC protocol data units (PDUs) and transmitting the RLC PDUs to a user equipment (UE); receiving acknowledgments from the UE for received RLC PDUs; receiving a re-establishment request at a transmitting side of the AM RLC entity from upper layers of the UTRAN; discarding all RLC SDUs that have been fully transmitted to the UE before the re-establishment request is received; and discarding all RLC SDUs that have not been fully transmitted to the UE when the re-establishment request is received.
Abstract:
A method of managing multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) transmission for a network in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of reserving a plurality of MBMS subframes of a first radio frame for a MBMS service; configuring a first subframe set of the reserved MBMS subframes of the first radio frame for transmissions of MBMS data; and configuring a second subframe set of the reserved MBMS subframes of the first radio frame for transmissions of non-MBMS data.
Abstract:
A method of handling system information reception for a mobile device capable of multiple connections in a wireless communication system, the method includes acquiring system information of at least a cell when a radio resource control (RRC) message for connection establishment related to the cells is received from a first cell having at least a connection with the mobile device.
Abstract:
A method used in an E-UTRAN for synchronizing PDCP operations after a RRC connection re-establishment procedure with a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes: initiating an RRC reconfiguration procedure to resume all radio bearers other than a signaling radio bearer 1 (SRB1) when an RRC connection is re-established; re-transmitting a designated group of PDCP Service Data Units (SDUs) to the UE when a data radio bearer (DRB) mapped on Radio Link Control (RLC) Acknowledged Mode (AM) is resumed.
Abstract:
A method of handling proximity information transmission for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises initiating a handover procedure triggered by receiving a handover command or an radio resource control (RRC) connection re-establishment procedure, detecting a closed subscriber group (CSG) cell of a whitelist in the mobile device, wherein the whitelist provides a list of accessible CSG cells for the mobile device, and determining whether to perform the proximity information transmission according to an RRC message received from a network of the wireless communication system, wherein the RRC message includes a configuration of the proximity information transmission.
