摘要: A machine tool is provided having a spindle mounted for movement in a direction parallel to the spindle axis, the Z direction, and a direction perpendicular to the spindle axis, the X direction. The machine tool includes a machine bed and has means mounted to the machine bed for supporting at least one tool. At least one spindle is rotatably supported on the machine bed and includes a chuck for supporting a workpiece. The machine tool includes means mounting the spindle to the machine bed for movement in the Z direction and for independent movement in the X direction. Accordingly, the workpiece supporting means may be moved proximate to the tool supporting means and the workpiece may be engaged by a tool. The machine tool may further include feeder means for feeding bar stock to the workpiece supporting means so that the bar stock may be engaged by a tool. The machine tool may also include workpiece transfer means for facilitating the transfer of workpieces to and from the workpiece supporting means. A machine tool system embodying the machine tool also forms a part of the invention and includes a plurality of machine beds, each having a spindle and means mounting the spindles to the machine beds for moving the spindles in the Z and X directions. An associated method is also disclosed.

摘要: A helical scanning type recording/reproducing apparatus provided with a dynamic tracking head which is moved in a direction perpendicular to a recording track on a magnetic tape and which is controlled by a movement controlling unit to trace the recording track accurately. The recording/reproducing apparatus includes a control phase data memory 10 for storing tape feed phase data, a head height data memory 6 for storing head height data during tracing by the dynamic tracking head and a control signal detection circuit 4 for detecting whether or not the control signals are being reproduced. When the control signals are not being reproduced, the head height position is controlled to be a predetermined head height position, based on data stored in the control phase data memory 10, at the same time that tracking control is performed based on the data stored in the head height memory 6 and the data corresponding to the current head height position.

摘要: A machine tool having an automatic tool changer including a single drive motor for rotation and lateral movement of a tool storage magazine of the automatic tool changer. The single drive motor is connected to a transmission for selectively moving the magazine between a withdrawn storage position and an advanced position whereby a selected tool holder may be brought into engagement with the spindle. A carriage frame supports the magazine on a trackway for lateral movement and a rack gear extends parallel to a trackway. A speed reducer is connected to the drive motor and has an output shaft that supports a pinion gear positioned to engage the rack and a casing that is connected to the magazine. A locking pin is mounted to the carriage frame for selected movement between a first position whereby the magazine is locked and the rotation of the output shaft causes the carriage frame and magazine to advance along the trackway and a second position whereby the output shaft is locked and the rotation of the casing causes the magazine to rotate.

摘要: A tracking control circuit for use in a composite digital video tape recorder, wherein the phase of a control signal is adjusted on the basis of a reproduced envelope signal in an interval of low correlativity to recorded contents out of the composite digital video signal reproduced by a recording head, so that the tracking position of the recording head relative to a video track is controlled to a predetermined proper position. In this circuit, accurate tracking control can be achieved at enhanced precision without enlarging the circuit scale or increasing the production cost.

摘要: An optical deflection apparatus includes a signal light source configured to emit signal light having one or more wavelengths, a control light source configured to emit control light having a wavelength different from the wavelength of the signal light, a thermal lens forming optical element including a light absorption layer configured to transmit the signal light and selectively absorb the control light, and a beam-condensing unit configured to cause beam-condensation of the control light and the signal light at different convergence points in the light absorption layer. The thermal lens forming optical element causes convergence and divergence of the control light and the signal light on an incidence plane of the light absorption layer or its vicinity in a light traveling direction, wherein a thermal lens is reversibly formed in the light absorption layer due to a temperature increase occurring in a region where the control light is absorbed and its peripheral region, and the thermal lens changes a refractive index to change a traveling direction of the signal light.
