Abstract: Techniques related to communication device groups and relaying wireless signaling are disclosed. Some aspects of the disclosure relate to devices and methods for receiving an indication configured to indicate that a first device (e.g., a destination user equipment (UE)) is to monitor: at least one first radio link, and at least one second radio link, for at least one data flow. The first device may receive: a first portion of the at least one data flow including DL data over the at least one first radio link, and/or a second portion of the at least one data flow including relay data over the at least one second radio link. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station via a reconfigurable surface, a set of reference signals reflected by the reconfigurable surface using a set of precoder configurations. In some aspects, the set of reference signals are transmitted within a set of reference signal occasions of a sweep procedure associated with configuring the reconfigurable surface with different precoder configurations of the set of precoder configurations for reflecting signals. The UE may additionally transmit, to the base station via the reconfigurable surface, a feedback message including an indication of at least one precoder configuration of the set of precoder configurations based on receiving the set of reference signals. The UE may then receive, from the base station via the reconfigurable surface, a downlink transmission based on transmitting the feedback message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for codebook-based beamforming considerations for reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) are described. For example, an RIS may transmit, to a first wireless device, an indication of a capability of using different types of precoders for generating a codebook for the RIS for redirecting wireless signals. The codebook may include codewords associated with weights for respective elements of the RIS. In some cases, the RIS may receive, from the first wireless device, a type of precoder for generating the codebook. As such, the RIS may adjust one or more elements using the weights for the respective elements based on receiving the indication and in accordance with training a communication link between the first wireless device and a second wireless device via the plurality of elements. In some examples, the RIS may receive, from the first wireless device, an index corresponding to a codeword.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) on a first set of beams and receives a second CSI-RS on a second set of beams. The apparatus determines a channel quality indicator (CQI), a rank indicator (RI), and a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) based on the first CSI-RS. The apparatus reports the CQI and RI using an uplink control channel and indicates the PMI using a precoded SRS transmission. The precoded SRS transmission may be precoded based on a dissimilarity between the first CSI-RS and the second CSI-RS. The first CSI-RS may include a defined precoder, and the second CSI-RS may include a precoder based on an uplink channel estimate of a non-precoded SRS from the UE.

A communication device may receive first control signaling indicating a channel state information (CSI) reporting configuration for a set of channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources that correspond to a first number of antenna ports for the set of CSI-RS resources.
