    Abstract: An optical connector is provided having a ferrule configured to house one or more optical fibers. An inner housing is provided to hold the ferrule and has a distal end in a connection direction and a proximal end in a cable direction. An outer housing at least partially surrounds the inner housing. One or more resilient forward biasing projections extend from one or more of the outer housing or the inner housing for biasing the outer housing towards the distal end of the inner housing. The resilient forward biasing projection may be integrally formed with either the inner housing or with the outer housing.

    Abstract: Fiber optic connection assemblies that may include hybrid adapters and connector assemblies are generally described. The hybrid adapter may be configured to connect a first connector type and a second connector type, the first connector type being different from the second connector type. For example, the first connector type may be a micro connector and the second connector type may be an LC connector. A connector assembly may be configured as a micro connector having a tension element configured to facilitate optimized optical performance by spring loading the ferrules while maintaining a small form factor.

    Abstract: An optical receptacle for receiving an optical connector is provided. The optical receptacle may be part of an optical transceiver or an optical adapter. The optical receptacle includes an optical receptacle outer housing wall. An optical receptacle hook opening is formed within the optical receptacle outer housing wall. A receptacle hook is received within the optical receptacle housing, the receptacle hook being configured to retain an optical connector within the optical receptacle. The optical receptacle hook opening is positioned to accommodate the receptacle hook in a flexed position when an optical connector in inserted into the optical receptacle.

A narrow width fiber optic connector comprises a multi-fiber connector, wherein a width of said narrow width fiber optic connector is less than about 12.4 mm, a housing configured to hold the multi-fiber connector and further comprising a connector recess, and a pull tab having a ramp area configured to disengage a latch of one of an adapter and an SFP from said connector recess. The pull tab may include a spring configured to allow the latch of one of the adapter and the SFP to engage with the connector recess.

    Abstract: A multi-polarity fiber optic adapter is configured to provide a plurality of connector polarity options. The adapter includes a housing and a plurality of ports, each port configured to receive and establish an optical connection with a ferrule of a fiber optic connector.     Abstract: A reversible polarity fiber optic connector includes an outer housing having a front end, a rear end, and a receiving space defined between the front end and rear end; a ferrule assembly accommodated within the receiving space and configured to form an optical connection with a receptacle, the ferrule assembly including at least one ferrule protruding from the front end of the outer housing and configured to switch between a first position and second position; and a boot assembly rotatable connected to the rear end of the outer housing. When the boot assembly is rotated to an unlock position, the boot assembly is able to disconnect with the outer housing and the ferrule assembly is able to switch between the first position and second position.
