In a drive assembly for driving a pulley of a water pump of a combustion engine, a movable supporting arm is fitted idly with a drive wheel, and is loaded by a torsion spring to bring the drive wheel into angular engagement with the pulley fitted to the shaft of the pump, and with a drive belt of the engine; an actuating device (being activatable to exert a force in opposition to that exerted by the torsion spring, and detach the drive wheel from the pulley.

Belt drive assembly for driving accessory parts of an internal combustion engine comprising a reversible electric machine, comprising a belt with a plurality of longitudinal ribs alternating with grooves and with a plurality of cavities spaced at equal distances from each other longitudinally and obtained transversely with respect to the ribs in such a way as to interrupt them; the pulley comprises a plurality of ribs suited to engage the grooves of the belt and a plurality of teeth transverse with respect to the ribs, spaced at equal distances from each other on the circumference and suited to engage the respective cavities of the belt. The cavities of the belt have a depth at the most equal to the height of the ribs of the belt itself, and the ribs of the pulley have a radial height larger than the teeth, so as to cooperate with the belt continuously along the whole winding arc.
Abstract:
A pulley for a continuously variable transmission is provided with a fixed half-pulley fitted on a supporting shaft and a mobile half-pulley, which is able to slide towards the fixed half-pulley under the thrust of a spring, so as to define a V-shaped race of variable amplitude. The pulley is further provided with a device for compensating the axial thrust, said device being constituted by a cam and a cam follower, which are coupled in contact with one another to impart an additional axial thrust on the mobile half-pulley in response to a torque acting on the pulley. The cam is defined by a tubular body made of plastic material co-moulded on the supporting shaft, whilst the cam follower is made of a single piece with the mobile half-pulley.

A pulley assembly for a continuously variable transmission in a vehicle, comprising a shaft having an axis, a supporting element rotatable about said axis, a first half pulley rigidly and rotationally connected to said supporting element, a second half pulley facing said first half pulley for defining a seat adapted to accommodate a belt of the transmission, at least one of the first and second half pulleys being longitudinally mobile with respect to the supporting element, and a clutch comprising a second supporting element connected to the shaft, a drum connected to the supporting element and accommodating the second supporting element, and a plurality of friction elements hinged to the second supporting element about respective hinge axes to selectively cooperate with the drum. In particular, the respective centres of gravity of said friction elements are located before the respective hinge axes with respect to a direction of rotation of the shaft which defines a forward running condition of the vehicle.

An integrated pulley-torsional damper assembly (1) comprises a hub (2) designed for being rigidly connected to a drive member (3), a pulley (4) connected to the hub (2) by means of a first ring (5) made of elastomeric material having the function of filter for the torsional oscillations, and an inertia ring (6), connected to the hub (2) by means of a second ring (7) made of elastomeric material, which defines with the inertia ring (6) a damping system. The first elastomeric ring is connected to the hub by mans of a coupling flange (25), which can be pack-tightened between an internal annular flange (10) of the hub and the drive member (3), the hub (2) comprising a first cylindrical wall (11) and a second cylindrical wall (12), which are coaxial with respect to one another and define between them an annular cavity (9) housing the first elastomeric ring (5), the external cylindrical wall (12) defining a support for the second elastomeric ring (7).
