Abstract:
The disclosed electrostatic precipitator cartridge for a tower air cleaner in accord with the present invention is low-cost, because it is constructed of injected molded plastics material and stamped and extruded metal components. It is easy to clean, not only because it's constitutive metal parts and plastic components are machine washable but also because the cartridge as a whole is machine washable, the pieces and components are designed and arranged to prevent intracartridge fluid buildup or retention after washing, thereby eliminating any electrical shorting or arcing or other undesirable phenomena resulting therefrom that could interfere with the operation of the electrostatic filter cartridge. It is mechanically stable and has high particulate collection efficiency because it's ionizer bars have a predetermined preferably air foil shape that provides improved ionization efficiency and that imparts improved torsion stability rendering it possible to provide taller electrostatic filter cartridges and/or greater cleaning power.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ionizer mounting structure for a vehicle air conditioning system. The air conditioning system includes an air conditioning case having an internal passageway and an ionizer for generating negative ions and positive ions within the internal passageway. The air conditioning case has a discharge electrode insertion hole and the ionizer has a plurality of discharge electrodes extending into the internal passageway through the discharge electrode insertion hole. The ionizer mounting structure includes a mounting and demounting means for allowing the ionizer to be mounted to the air conditioning case through sliding movement from a demounting position on a passenger room side to a mounting position above the air conditioning case and for allowing the ionizer to be demounted from the air conditioning case through sliding movement from the mounting position to the demounting position.
Abstract:
There is provided a flotage trapping device using electrostatic field. The flotage trapping device comprises a body including a power source portion and a boosting portion for boosting, fed from the power source portion, and a collector portion including a collector to which the plus and/or minus high voltage obtained from the boosting portion is applied. The collector portion is formed as a collector cassette by unitizing the collector portion in the form of cassette. A fixing mechanism is provided between the body and the collector cassette for connecting and disconnecting the body and the collector cassette through one-touch operation. The electric connecters for high voltage is provided between the body and the collector cassette for electrically connecting and disconnecting the body and the collector cassette through one-touch operation. As a result the collector cassette is detachably mounted on the body.
Abstract:
A magnetic device adapted for various engine oil filtering apparatuses is proposed in the present invention. It includes an elastic metal plate; multiple holding bases, each of which has at least a containing portion, the holding bases being disposed on the elastic metal plate; and multiple magnets disposed in the containing portions of the holding bases respectively. The magnetic device has a sectional design and has various flexible combinations. Hence, it is more applicable and reduces the costs of production.
Abstract:
An air cleaner is provided that comprises one or more ionizing panels having at least one ionizing wire in connection with a voltage source. One or more collector cells separate from the one or more ionizing wire panels are releasably received within the air cleaner housing to establish an electrical connection between the collector cell and the voltage source for applying a voltage potential between the collector cell and the ionizing wire. The collector cell may be removed from the air cleaner to permit cleaning of the collector cell separate from the ionizing panels. The air cleaner monitors at least one variable indicative of the operation of the air cleaner. Upon determining that the variable has reached a predetermined variable indicative of a significant amount of dust accumulation, an activates a light source to illuminate indicia on a display screen which indicates a need for servicing the air cleaner.
Abstract:
An air transporter-conditioner device is disclosed that can include an elongated housing having a bottom, a top and an elongated side wall. The housing can have an inlet located adjacent to the bottom and an outlet located adjacent to the elongated side wall, an emitter electrode and a collector electrode and a high voltage generator operably connected to both electrodes. An impeller can be used to draw air into the housing through the inlet and direct the air toward the outlet. The housing can also include a second elongated side wall and a baffle which can include a plurality of deflectors positioned along the second elongated side wall. The baffle can include a plurality of elongated columns of varying lengths and each column can include a deflector. The device can further include a second inlet located adjacent to the elongated side wall and a germicidal lamp located inside the elongated housing.
Abstract:
An air purifier for removing particles from air and providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance includes a housing having an air inlet, an air outlet and an airflow path therethrough. An air filter is mounted within the housing in the airflow path and a motor is mounted within the housing. The motor includes a motor shaft and a fan is mounted to the motor shaft for urging air into the air inlet, through the airflow path and out of the air outlet. An air cowl is removably mounted to the housing. The air cowl includes a peripheral edge. The air inlet or the air outlet is defined between the peripheral edge and the housing. A method of operating the air purifier with the inlet or outlet formed between the peripheral edge and the housing is also disclosed.
Abstract:
An air purifier includes a collector electrode assembly removable from an opening on the top surface of the unit and a safety lid detached from the collector electrode assembly for covering the opening on the top surface of the unit. The safety lid is configured to cover the opening whether the collector electrode assembly is at rest within the housing or has been removed from the housing for cleaning.
