摘要: There is provided a fluid regulating device for use in regulating fluid in a fluid-using device, the fluid regulating device comprising: a receiver, to receive fluid under pressure from an external source, a vent, to vent fluid from the fluid-using device, and a regulator, operatively connected between the receiving means and the fluid-using device, to regulate a pressure of the fluid, wherein, upon fluid being received by the receiving means, the valve assembly directs the fluid to the fluid-using device at the regulated pressure.

摘要: A relief valve for regulating discharged oil pressure of an oil pump at a predetermined level comprises a cylinder including a bore therein and relief grooves formed symmetrically relatively to an axial center of the bore, while each of the relief grooves has a respective opening to an inner peripheral portion of the bore; a valve body disposed in the cylinder so as to be slidably moved in the bore in response to the discharged oil pressure supplied into the bore at one side of the valve body; a spring provided in the other side of the valve body constantly urging the valve body toward the one side of the valve body so as to close the openings of the relief grooves by the valve body; and an adjusting means for adjusting a change rate of an opening area of the relief grooves relatively to one slide movement of the valve body against the force of the spring so that the change rate of the opening area at the beginning of slide movement of the valve body is smaller than that at the end of the slide movement of the valve body.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting ultrasonic energy generated by a mechanical device and for applying lubricant to the device is presented. The apparatus includes a lubrication tool, such as a grease gun, which has a lubrication delivery element for delivering lubrication to the mechanical device. An ultrasonic transducer is contained in a housing which is removably attached to the outside of the lubrication delivery element such that the transducer makes acoustical contact with the lubrication tool. An electrical circuit, which may be attached to the lubrication device, produces an output signal which indicates the magnitude of detected ultrasonic energy. A method using such an ultrasonic energy detector in conjunction with a lubrication tool to detect the condition of a sealed mechanical rotating device and to determine when sufficient lubricant has been applied is also presented.

摘要: The present invention is a system for replenishing an article of equipment with a supply of lubricant. A housing is provided which defines a reservoir. The housing includes an open end connected to the equipment article such that the reservoir and the equipment article are in fluid communication. Lubricant is disposed in the reservoir and a check valve is secured at the open end of the housing to allow one-way flow of lubricant from the reservoir to the housing. Heating the lubricant to a predetermined temperature results in a precisely ascertainable mass of lubricant being forced from the reservoir to the equipment article.

摘要: A system and method for lubricating conveyor chains, particularly with high temperature synthetic lubricants for use in ovens, by dispensing discrete shots of fluid onto the pin areas of the chains to lubricate only the pins and bushings. A check valve, preferably included in a metered shot valve, is positioned sufficiently close to the chain to accurately dispense and place the measured shot onto the point of the chain at which the lubricant is needed. A sensor detects the presence of the pins at a dispensing outlet and signals a controller, which energizes an on/off valve, preferably a direct current solenoid valve, at which fluid is supplied at constant pressure. The check valve opens with the on/off valve and closes in time to define the size of the metered shot. The controller causes the dispensing to occur on every one of a predetermined number of pins during each chain revolution with different pins lubricated on different revolutions until all are lubricated.

摘要: The invention is directed to a motor-driven chain saw having a drive motor which drives a saw chain via a sprocket with the saw chain running around the periphery of the cutter bar in a guide groove formed in this periphery. A brake device is provided to bring the saw chain to standstill which is actuated by a brake lever. In addition, the drive motor continuously drives a lubricating-oil pump which is mounted in a feed line between the supply tank and a outlet opening of the guide groove. The supply of lubricating oil is interrupted when the saw chain is brought to standstill. This is achieved by providing a blocking valve in the feed line which is closed during idle operation of the drive motor and is opened during load operation of the drive motor.

摘要: In a rotating shaft machine, the rotating shaft is usually equipped with a thrust collar which cooperates with stationary thrust bearings on either side of the thrust collar to prevent excessive axial movement of the rotating shaft. Lubrication is furnished to each bearing to protect the bearing as the shaft migrates toward that bearing. Prior art lubrication systems provided either equal amounts of lubrication fluid to equal sized bearings or a lesser amount of lubrication fluid to a smaller thrust bearing. It has been discovered that the total flow requirement for lubrication fluid can be reduced by using a lubrication fluid distribution means which tracks the position of the thrust collar and provides lubrication in response to the position of the thrust collar relative to the thrust bearings.
