    摘要: In this invention, a first memory means stores outline data of an embroidery pattern to embroider. Based on the outline data and a predetermined stitch-forming direction, a first computing means divides the outline of the embroidery pattern into multiple closed areas by a segment extending parallel with the stitch-forming direction and computes outline data of the divided closed areas. Subsequently, based on the closed-area outline data computed by the first computing means and the stitch-forming direction, a second computing means computes needle location data or block data that is related to needle location. The needle location data or the block data is stored in a second memory means. Each of the closed areas is thus embroidered in the stitch-forming direction. By providing the closed-area outline data, the needle location data or the block data can automatically be prepared. This automatic data preparing apparatus saves the manual designation of the closed areas by an operator, and reduces time required for preparing the data. Even an inexperienced operator can easily prepare the data.

    摘要: An embroidering system comprises a plurality of embroidering machine each connectable to a single control unit. Various characters or patterns are stored in a floppy disc installed in the contol unit, from which pattern data designating a desired pattern combination can be read out and transferred to a memory in the control unit responsive to key entry operation. By repeated key entry operation, plural series of stitch control data including the pattern data are in a lump stored in the memory. Among them, a specific series of the stitch control data can be read out in response to a pattern renewal signal which is generated by manual depression of a corresponding key arranged on the embroidering machine each time when the preceding embroidering operation has been completed.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for operator-controlled stitching of letters on materials wherein the letters have common stitch parameters. The operator selects desired stitch parameters, such as letter height, letter width, and stitch density, and stores the parameters in memory. In using the stored stitch parameters, the operator recalls them using a keyboard and also selects letters which are to be stitched using the stored and recalled stitch parameters. The apparatus is able to apply or use the recalled stitch parameters in connection with the selected letters to stitch the letters. In addition, the operator is able to define a number of different stitch patterns having selected and stored letters which can later be recalled for stitching thereof.

    摘要: A sewing machine, or similar machine which consumes thread at a work station, has combined with it a thread color device located between the work station and a thread supply. The color device causes the thread issuing from it to have any one of a number of available colors, allowing stitches of different color to be made at the work station without changing the thread or rethreading the needle. The timing of a change in thread color at the color device with respect to the schedule of work performed at the work station, and the movement of the thread from the color device to the work station, are controlled so that a change in thread color occurs at the work station at substantially the same time as such change is desired in the work schedule performed at that station. This control may include a means for pulling thread from the work station, a means for performing a thread wasting routine at the work station, or a means for effecting a color change at the color device in advance of the need for such change at the work station with the timing of the color change at the color device being such that the color change arrives at the work station at the desired time in the work schedule.

    摘要: The sewing system includes a device and a sewing machine including a movement mechanism to move an embroidery frame. The device identifies reference point coordinates representing a position of a reference point provided in a range prescribed by an inner frame of the embroidery frame and transmits the reference point coordinates to the sewing machine. The sewing machine notifies a notification position, using a notification portion, with respect to the range prescribed by the inner frame and acquires a relative movement amount of the embroidery frame with respect to the notification portion, for aligning the notification position and the reference point provided in the range prescribed by the inner frame. The sewing machine decides, on the basis of a relationship between the movement amount and the reference point coordinates, a deviation from a prescribed state of a positional relationship between the inner frame and the movement mechanism.

The sewing machine sets, based on the first feature point and the second image data, a layout of the second pattern with respect to the first pattern when the holding position is the second position and corrects the embroidery data. The sewing machine sews the second pattern on the sewing object based on the corrected embroidery data.

Some embodiments include returning a rendering of the planned pattern of stitches to the browser or returning rendering vectors to the browser for drawing the planned pattern of stitches in the browser for inspection by the user. The drawing can include a freehand drawing, handwriting, or a signature, drawn or written by the user in the browser window. The desired stitching parameters can include angle, width, underlay type, density, or pull compensation of the stitches. In some embodiments, width varies along a vector path, for instance, based on pressure applied by the user while drawing.
