    Abstract: Wind Turbine Blade (12) Leading Edge (24, 30, 88) Protection Method In a first aspect of the invention there is provided a method of applying an erosion shield (22) to a leading edge region (30) of a wind turbine blade (12). The method comprises providing a wind turbine blade (12) comprising a blade shell (26) having an aerodynamic profile and defining a leading edge region (30); providing an erosion shield (22) made of a polymer material, the erosion shield (22) having an inner surface (36) to be bonded to the leading edge region (30) of the blade shell (26), and an outer surface (38, 84, 98) to be exposed in use; activating (44) the inner surface (36) of the erosion shield (22), and cleaning (42) the inner surface (36) of the erosion shield (22) using a solvent.     Abstract: The wind turbine comprises at least one controller arranged to control a function of the wind turbine, and a data storage unit arranged to store controller specific data for the at least one controller, where the data storage unit is associated with the at least one controller to enable communication of the controller specific data between the data storage unit and the at least one controller. The method comprises detecting a connection between a programming enabling key and a connection interface dependent on a presence of the programming enabling key in proximity of the connection interface, initiating a programming mode wherein a control unit is enabled to receive controller specific data or wind turbine specific data from which the controller specific data can be determined, and obtaining the controller specific data or the wind turbine specific data via a manual action or via a trusted data source.

    Abstract: A method of inspecting a wind turbine blade. The wind turbine blade comprises an electro-thermal heating element and a surface protection layer. The method comprises: exposing a test point of the electro-thermal heating element; contacting the test point to establish an electrical connection between the test point and a sensor; and electrically connecting the sensor to the surface protection layer. The sensor is operated to measure a resistance value indicative of an electrical resistance between the test point and the surface protection layer. The resistance value is analysed to determine a condition of the wind turbine blade. The invention provides a method of inspecting a wind turbine blade which enables damage or defects to be detected which may be difficult to detect by visual inspection or traditional non-destructive testing techniques. For instance, the resistance value may give an indication of the presence of an electrical short between the heating element and the surface protection layer.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a discharge filter, located in a root of a wind turbine blade, which includes one or more cables wound into large scale inductors using an internal or external surface of the root as a mandrel. These cables provide power inputs to an electrical panel for one or more a powered systems that are located in a body of the wind turbine blade. The electrical panel is connected to a lightning protection system that selectively provides a path to ground, and the inductors form a high-impedance barrier that shunts power away from the cables and onto the lightning protection system in the event of a lightning strike or other electrical discharge traveling from the powered systems to the electrical panel.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotor control system for actuating pitch of pitch adjustable rotor blades of a wind turbine in order to reduce edgewise blade vibrations. The system comprises a pitch actuation unit being arranged to receive an edgewise load signal and apply m-blade coordinate transformations, such as the Coleman transformations, to the edgewise load signal.     Abstract: A tool assembly (1) for tensioning tower bolts (12) of a wind turbine tower is disclosed.     Abstract: The invention provides a method of forming a wind turbine blade. The blade has a main blade module that defines a main body of the blade and includes a first mating feature, e.g. a tongue. The blade also includes a separate edge module that defines at least part of a trailing edge of the blade and includes a second mating feature, e.g. a recess. The method includes applying an adhesive to at least one of the first mating feature and the second mating feature. The method includes arranging the separate edge module relative to the main blade module such that the first and second mating features are mutually adjacent. The method includes applying a pressure force to squeeze the adhesive to bond the first and second mating features together. The pressure force is caused by removing air from, or injecting air into, an air sealed region.

    Abstract: A nacelle of a wind turbine is disclosed. The nacelle comprises a rear frame structure (1) comprising a plurality of truss assemblies (2) being connected to each other at connecting regions (3).     Abstract: A method of repairing a joint connecting a wind turbine blade to a rotor hub of a wind turbine, wherein the joint includes a plurality of bushings in a root end of the wind turbine blade is disclosed. The method includes extracting a selected bushing from the wind turbine blade, the extraction resulting in a bushing cavity in the wind turbine blade; reconditioning the bushing cavity in the wind turbine blade; providing a replacement insert, wherein the insert includes a replacement bushing and a cover disposed around at least a portion of the replacement bushing; positioning the replacement insert into the reconditioned bushing cavity; and securing the replacement insert to the wind turbine blade.
