    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate having a plurality of transmissive regions aligned in a first direction and a second direction, a plurality of first wiring lines on the substrate extending in the first direction, a plurality of second wiring lines on the substrate extending in the second direction, and a plurality of light emitting sections disposed on the substrate. Each of the transmissive regions is surrounded by the first and second wiring lines. The light emitting sections include a first light emitting section and a second light emitting section. At least part of the first light emitting section is located in a region that is adjacent to the transmissive regions and overlap one of the first wiring lines. At least part of the second light emitting section is located in a region that is adjacent to the transmissive regions and overlap one of the second wiring lines.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a resin layer on the circuit layer including a groove surrounding and separating a display area; light-emitting elements on an upper surface of the resin layer so as to emit light with luminances controlled by the currents; a sealing layer covering the light-emitting elements; a second substrate above the sealing layer; a sealing material provided between the sealing layer and the second substrate so as to surround the display area and the groove; and a filling layer surrounded by the sealing material between the sealing layer and the second substrate. The groove is formed along a line describing a shape that is inscribed in a rectangle and not in contact with corners of the rectangle as viewed in a direction vertical to the upper surface of the resin layer.

    Abstract: A display module includes an insulating substrate and a plurality of pixels each located on the insulating substrate and including a light-emitting element layer. The insulating substrate includes a display area where the plurality of pixels are disposed, a picture-frame area outside the display area, an outer area that is in contact with an opposite side of the picture-frame area from the display area, and a plurality of terminals located on the outer area and arranged in a direction. The outer area includes a narrowed portion whose length in the direction is shorter than a length of the display area in the direction.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display portion that includes a plurality of pixels; common potential supply main wiring that is disposed so as to surround the display portion on an outside of the display portion; a common potential wiring layer that extends to a gap region between the plurality of pixels in the display portion and is electrically connected to the common potential supply main wiring; an organic film that is disposed to cover the plurality of pixels; and a common electrode film that covers the display portion and the common potential supply main wiring, and is disposed to be in contact with the common potential supply main wiring. The common potential wiring layer has a plurality of contact regions in the gap region and the common electrode film is in contact with the plurality of contact regions.

    Abstract: A display device includes a pixel including a thin film transistor, and an under layer below the thin film transistor. The thin film transistor includes a first gate electrode, a semiconductor layer and a second gate electrode. The semiconductor layer includes a channel region that overlaps at least one of the first gate electrode and the second gate electrode in a plan view. The channel region curves in a thickness direction of the semiconductor layer. The first gate electrode includes a first edge located on the side of an edge of the channel region in a direction of a channel length. The second gate electrode includes a second edge located on the side of the edge of the channel region. The position of the first edge is different from the position of the second edge in the direction of the channel length.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of a display device including a pixel region including a plurality of pixels each including a light emitting element and a terminal region provided outside the pixel region and including connection terminals; the method comprising: forming a recessed portion in a part of a top surface of each of the connection terminals; forming a first inorganic insulating layer, an organic insulating layer, and a second inorganic insulating layer sequentially in the pixel region and continuously in the terminal region; and etching the first inorganic insulating layer and the second inorganic insulating layer in an area where the first inorganic insulating layer and the second inorganic insulating layer are stacked directly, the area being on the top surface except the recessed portion.

An organic EL display device includes a plurality of pixels. The plurality of pixels each include a light emitting element; the light emitting element includes a pixel electrode, a common electrode, an EL common layer, and a light emitting layer; the EL common layer and the light emitting layer are provided between the pixel electrode and the common electrode; the EL common layer covers a main surface and an end of the pixel electrode; the pixel electrode is provided on an insulating layer; and the common electrode is in contact with the insulating layer between the plurality of pixels.
