Abstract: A display device includes: a resin layer on the circuit layer including a groove surrounding and separating a display area; light-emitting elements on an upper surface of the resin layer so as to emit light with luminances controlled by the currents; a sealing layer covering the light-emitting elements; a second substrate above the sealing layer; a sealing material provided between the sealing layer and the second substrate sc as to surround the display area and the groove; and a filling layer surrounded by the sealing material between the sealing layer and the second substrate. The groove is formed along a line describing a shape that is inscribed in a rectangle and not in contact with corners of the rectangle as viewed in a direction vertical to the upper surface of the resin layer.

Abstract: A display device includes a plurality of layers stacked such that outer edges thereof coincide with each other at both ends in at least one of a first direction and a second direction that are orthogonal to each other and each layer including holes communicating in the stacking direction at a plurality of positions, and a resin continuously filled in the holes over the entirety of the plurality of layers. The plurality of layers include a display panel including a display area. The display panel includes the corresponding holes outside the display area. The holes of the plurality of layers are displaced in a plan view, as compared with the matching accuracy of the outer edges.

Abstract: A display device includes: a TFT substrate; a counter substrate; a flat bonding member bonding the TFT substrate and the counter substrate at a display area and an additional function area; and a bent bonding member bonding the TFT substrate and the counter substrate at a peripheral area outside the display area and a peripheral area outside the additional function area, the bent bonding member including a bonding interface at which a shear stress occurs due to the bending of the TFT substrate and the counter substrate.
