Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to bandwidth part selections of random access procedure. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device receives configuration information from a network device. The configuration information indicates a set of BWPs and configurations of the set of BWPs. When a random access procedure is triggered for a certain feature combination, the terminal device determines whether a condition for switching to a target BWP is fulfilled. If the condition is fulfilled, the terminal device switches to the target BWP. In this way, it improves resource efficiency.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable storage medium for monitoring of a Paging Early Indication (PEI). In some example embodiments, there is provided a method implemented in a terminal device. In the method, the terminal device receives a first indication of a total number of subgroups of terminal devices from a network device. Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to determination of terminal device's identify. A terminal device determines an identity (ID) of the terminal device based on configuration status of extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) and current Radio Resource Control (RRC) state of the terminal device; and determines one or both of paging frame (PF) and paging occasion (PO) based on the determined ID of the terminal device. In this way, paging in the eDRX can work well in RRC idle state or RRC inactive state, and the network and the UE may be synchronized with UE's PF and PO for paging in the eDRX.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for small data transmission (SDT). A first device, in response to first data to be transmitted via a SDT corresponding to a first set of resources for a random access procedure and a second set of resources for a configured grant procedure, determine a target resource for at least a part of the first data based on a logical channel restriction on the SDT; and transmit, to a second device, at least the part of the first data on the target resource. In this way, the SDT procedure can be performed with logical channel restrictions, which allows a better isolation of services through specific resource selection. The communication efficiency and network performance can also be improved.

A terminal device obtains a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) comprising a MAC subheader. The MAC subheader comprises a reduced capability (RedCap) bit for indicating that the terminal device supports enhanced RedCap. The terminal device transmits the MAC PDU to a network device. In this way, an indication of the enhanced RedCap can be provided efficiently, for example, without consuming more values of the short logical channel ID (LCID) field in the MAC subheader.
