    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus, for effecting recording on a recording material by ejecting a plurality of inks with relative scanning movement between a recording head and the recording material, includes an obtaining unit for obtaining relative information indicative of a relative relation between the amounts of inks to be ejected for each of unit areas provided by dividing an area in the neighborhood of a boundary between adjacent bands of scanning recording of the recording head across the recording material; a determining unit for determining, for each of the inks, a reduction rate at which the amount of the ink to be ejected to the neighborhood of the boundary in the unit area on the basis of the relative information for each of the unit areas obtained by the obtaining unit and on the basis of quantity information indicative of an amount of each into be ejected in the unit area; and a reducing unit for reducing the amount of each ink to be ejected to the neighborhood of the boundary on the basis of the reduction rate for each ink determined by the determining unit.

    摘要: An ink printer for printing on a recording medium using a liquid ink includes at least one rotatable member arranged in a region of a transport path of the recording medium. The rotatable member is located so as to be capable of contacting liquid ink for forming an image on the recording medium. The rotatable member includes a radially outermost perimeter portion which serves as a recording medium contacting peripheral surface. The outermost perimeter portion has an outermost edge which is continuously contactable with the printing surface of the recording medium. The bonding force with respect to the ink on the outermost edge is less than the sum of a bonding force between the recording medium and the ink on a surface of the recording medium, and the cohesive force of the ink itself on the surface of the recording medium. As a result adherence of the ink to the contacting peripheral surface of the at least one rotatable member is prevented.
