Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. A user equipment (UE) may receive a signaling message configuring one or more component carrier groups for joint transmission configuration indication (TCI) state activation. When a beam update command indicates an updated TCI state for an individual component carrier, the UE may apply the beam update command after an action time based at least in part on a format of the beam update command. Furthermore, the UE may be configured with rules for applying the beam update command if the individual component carrier is not included in any of the component carrier groups and/or multiple beam update commands are received within a threshold time. Additionally, the UE may prioritize quasi co-located (QCL) reception for all component carriers that are associated with the same TCI state as another component carrier for which QCL reception is prioritized.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Interference between random access channel (RACH) transmissions and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) transmissions may be avoided with a RACH occasion forbidden mask and a dynamic indication of availability of downlink retransmission resources. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a RACH configuration and a forbidden mask associated with the RACH configuration. The UE may identify, from a set of random access occasions indicated by the RACH configuration, a subset of allowed random access occasions based on the forbidden mask. The UE may transmit a random access message during at least one allowed random access occasion of the subset. Additionally or alternatively, a base station may determine whether one or more transmissions on a component carrier (CC) were successful, and transmit downlink control information (DCI) indicating whether a set of random access occasions are available on the CC.

The UE may identify an availability indicator that indicates availability of the resource of the semi-persistent resource allocation on each CC of the plurality of CCs. The UE may communicate a data transmission via at least a subset of the plurality of CCs based at least in part on the availability indicator.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with multiple transmission reception points (TRPs). The UE may receive control signaling indicating a reference signal configuration. The reference signal configuration, the control signaling, or both may indicate one or more beam failure detection (BFD) reference signals and a quasi co-location (QCL) type associated with a set of BFD reference signal sets. Each BFD reference signal set of the set of BFD reference signal sets may be associated with a respective TRP. The UE may detect a beam failure based on receiving a BFD reference signal set using one or more beams according to the QCL type associated with the BFD reference signal set. The UE may initiate a beam failure recovery procedure based on detecting the beam failure.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for beam indication set determination. A method by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a configuration of multiple beam indication sets. The method includes receiving an indication of parameters and, for each parameter, an associated subset of the multiple beam indication sets. The method includes determining a subset of the multiple configured beam indication sets based on the one or more parameters. The beam indications may be transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for downlink transmissions and/or spatial relations for uplink transmissions. The base station (BS) can configure multiple beam indications and sets and signal to the UE which sets are configured or active during which intervals. The BS may signal the association based on a predetermined UE trace.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform a first interference measurement on a first subband of a plurality of subbands configured for the UE and a second interference measurement on a second subband of the plurality of subbands. The UE may identify a first interference level based at least in part on the first interference measurement and a second interference level based at least in part on the second interference measurement. The UE may transmit, to a base station, a first sounding reference signal (SRS) on the first subband and a second SRS on the second subband, wherein an SRS sequence of the first SRS indicates the first interference level, and wherein an SRS sequence of the second SRS indicates the second interference level.
