    Abstract: Using a modulation and coding scheme for a control channel that is more conservative than needed to fulfill the control function may waste resources. To address this issue, a variable size control channel is provided. An apparatus in such a system may be configured to determine an aggregation level of a plurality of aggregation levels associated with a control channel. Each aggregation level of the plurality of aggregation levels is associated with a number of time-frequency resources dedicated for the control channel and a particular modulation and coding scheme used for modulating and coding control information in the control channel. The apparatus is configured to receive control information in the time-frequency resources associated with the aggregation level and decode the control information received in the time-frequency resources associated with the determined aggregation level. The decoding is based on the particular modulation and coding scheme associated with the determined aggregation level.

    Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for sidelink communications. In embodiments, a processor of a wireless device may determine signal strength information and priority information associated with a sidelink communication resource. The processor may determine coordination information based on the determined signal strength information and priority information. The processor may generate a message to include the determined coordination information. The processor may transmit the generated message including the determined coordination information to a second wireless device. In some embodiments, the generated message may be a control message, such as a medium access control control-element (MAC-CE) or a sidelink control information message.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are disclosed by the present disclosure. In an example, a host wireless device may transmit a discovery message to a client wireless device. The client wireless device may transmit a random access channel (RACH) preamble on a first time domain resource to the host wireless device in response to the discovery message. The client wireless device may later transmit a second RACH message to the host device on a second time domain resource after the first time domain resource. The second time domain resource may be defined by a mapping from the first time domain resource.
