Abstract: A receiving device may be either a UE or a base station. The receiving device may receive, from a transmitting device, communication based on a current reference signal (RS) pattern. The receiving device may determine, based on the received communication, at least one updated RS pattern for at least one resource block (RB). The at least one updated RS pattern may include at least one updated energy per resource element (EPRE) value for one or more RS tones. Further, the receiving device may transmit, to the transmitting device, a report of the at least one updated RS pattern. The report may correspond to at least one of an absolute value or a relative value of the at least one updated EPRE value for the one or more RS tones.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatuses, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for determining, such as by a user equipment (UE), a bundle size for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling for an uplink random access channel (RACH) message sent with repetition and transmitting the uplink RACH message with DMRS bundling according to the determined bundle size. For example, in some aspects of the present disclosure, the uplink RACH message is sent with a number of repetitions and the bundle size is determined as a function of the number of repetitions. In some aspects, the bundle size is determined based on operation band. In some aspects, the bundle size is determined, based on a duplexing mode in which the UE is operating. In some aspects, the bundle size is determined, at least in part, based on signaling from the base station.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication that demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling is to be used for channel estimation by the base station for one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) repetitions, where the indication is a semi-static configuration or a dynamic indication. The UE may transmit, to the base station, the one or more PUCCH repetitions by maintaining a phase continuity among DMRSs of the one or more PUCCH repetitions based at least in part on receiving the indication that DMRS bundling is to be used. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble. At least one property associated with the PRACH preamble corresponds to a request for repetition of Msg3. Accordingly, the UE may transmit, to the base station and based at least in part on the random access preamble, two or more repetitions of a Msg3. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A random access procedure between a user equipment (UE) and a base station may include repetition of a random access message 3 conditioned on a property of a random access preamble to improve reception. The UE may transmit the random access preamble with coverage enhancement. The base station may detect a property of the random access preamble that indicates the coverage enhancement and determine a message 3 repetition parameter. The UE may transmit the random access message 3 with repetition based on the message 3 repetition parameter, and the base station may receive the random access message 3 based on the repetition parameter, thereby improving coverage of the random access message 3.
