The core hardness divided by the ball hardness ranges from 1.0 to 1.3. The cover has a thickness of 1.3-1.8 mm. The ball is improved in feel and spin while maintaining the flying distance inherent to solid golf balls.

A process for producing a stencil printing sheet by laminating a water-soluble resin layer formed on a non-adhesive substrate to a porous substrate with an adhesive or by heat adhesion. The non-adhesive substrate is removed from the water-soluble resin layer to obtain a stencil printing sheet. The water-soluble resin layer is perforated by a single application of an aqueous solvent onto the water-soluble resin layer, such that the solution which dissolves the water-soluble resin layer permeates into the interior of the porous substrate.

The composition is easy to mold and allows for manufacture of a golf ball having improved spin properties and resistant to impact by iron and other clubs.

A stencil sheet having a solvent-soluble resin layer is made by a plate-making apparatus, which is formed of a holding and moving device to hold and move the stencil sheet, a solvent supply device for supplying a solvent to the stencil sheet, and a control device. The solvent supply device is disposed at a predetermined distance away from the stencil sheet held by the holding and moving device and is moved with respect to the stencil sheet at least one of a horizontal scanning direction and a vertical scanning direction intersecting with each other. The control device obtains image signals of an image to be produced on the stencil sheet and controls the solvent supply device so that an amount of the solvent to be fed to the stencil sheet by the solvent supply device is changed based on the image signals to thereby perforate holes in the stencil sheet. The sizes of the holes perforated by the solvent is changed by the amount thereof to alter gradation of the image.

A fuel vapor capturing canister includes a casing formed into the shape of a cylinder and accommodating an adsorbent material and a plurality of partition plates each formed of an impermeable material. The adsorbent material accommodated in the casing has one of two faces communicating with the atmosphere and the other face communicating both with a fuel storage system and an intake system of an engine. The partition plates are disposed in the casing so as to divide the adsorbent material into a plurality of layers. The partition plates has respective communicating holes formed so as not to lie one above another. This arrangement of the partition plates lengthens a path of fuel vapor passing through the activated carbon layers. Since the distance of flow of the fuel vapor in contact with the adsorbent material is thus increased, the fuel component adsorbing efficiency can be improved.
