摘要： A system and method for securing a portable consumer device is disclosed. One embodiment of the present invention may be directed to a security system comprising a first wireless apparatus for use with a mobile communication device and a second wireless apparatus configured to removably and electrically couple to the mobile communication device. The second wireless apparatus comprising a second processor, a mobile communication device interface element, and a second computer readable medium coupled to the second processor and comprising code executable by the second processor to implement a method comprising determining whether the second wireless apparatus is within a particular distance from the first wireless apparatus, and locking the mobile communication device from use if the second wireless apparatus is not within the particular distance from the first wireless apparatus. Some embodiments may lock the mobile communication device from use if a tamper switch has been triggered.

摘要： An adjustable page is provided. The page has a flexible substrate having a first surface, a second surface, and an edge. The substrate also has a plurality of pairs of first and second apertures, and slits joining the first and second aperture of each pair. The apertures are sized to receive ring connectors which have a leading edge and a trailing edge. The leading edge of each ring connector is designed to separate the slit to allow the ring connector to be transitioned to the appropriate second aperture. The slits are non-linear in shape or are connected to the apertures at positions apart from the centerline between the apertures.

The security apparatus further includes a lock tip removably coupled to the lock body. The lock tip is movable by the actuator assembly between a locked position, in which the lock tip is secured to the portable electronic device, and an unlocked position, in which the lock tip is unsecured from the portable electronic device. Rotating the engagement feature from the second position to the first position locks the lock tip to the lock body and concurrently locks the lock tip to the portable electronic device. Rotating the engagement feature from the first position to the second position unlocks the lock tip from the lock body and concurrently unlocks the lock tip from the portable electronic device.

摘要： Systems and methods for extracting information from a sheet of material to facilitate organization of information from paper, and other physical writing surfaces are provided. An example system includes a sheet of material and a device for scanning the sheet with an optical sensor. The sheet of material includes an indication region. The indication region allows for indictors to be marked corresponding with at least one a corresponding subregion to be extracted. The sheet of material further includes at least one fiducial mark for identifying a boundary of the sheet. The device includes a processor operably coupled to the optical sensor for causing the optical sensor to scan the sheet and detect a boundary thereof using the fiducial marks and further identify a designated subregion of the sheet. Upon identification of the designated subregion, the processor is configured to extract information contained in the designated subregion for organization of information.
