Abstract:
A fire-fighting monitor includes a housing, a nozzle coupler, and a pivot joint coupler comprising an internal passageway and a pivot member. The pivot member is pivotally mounted to the housing at the outlet of the housing. The nozzle coupler is mounted to the pivot joint coupler wherein the internal passageway of the pivot joint coupler is in communication with the internal passageways of the housing and the nozzle coupler, wherein the weight at the nozzle coupler generates a gravitational moment about the pivot axis. In addition, the nozzle coupler has a central axis defining a reference line, which is offset from the first pivot axis wherein a reaction force generated by fluid flowing through the nozzle coupler generates a moment about the first pivot axis in a direction opposed from said gravitational moment.
Abstract:
Sink spray head with supply jet variation and flow rate regulation, comprising a body defining at least two distinct water supply areas in communication with a distribution chamber controlled by a diverting cut-off driven by means of two distinct selection keys accessible outside the body, a cut-off being also provided for the regulation of the water flow rate. The keys are operatively connected to the regulation cut-off.
Abstract:
A sprinkler includes a stationary portion configured for connection to a fluid source and a head with an outlet for emitting fluid. A stem supports the head and is configured for translating along a longitudinal axis and for rotating about the longitudinal axis. At least one retainer is disposed between the stationary portion and the stem. The retainer is configured for permitting the stem to rotate about the longitudinal axis relative to the stationary portion when a rotational force applied to the stem exceeds a predetermined amount.
Abstract:
A spray washer structure used for attaching to an aircraft and washing insulators on high-voltage transmission lines includes a pivot seat, a core tube, an inner tube, and a nozzle. The pivot seat is supported by a plurality of legs and a rear leg that are attached at the aircraft. The mid-section of the core tube is pivotally connected to the pivot seat by the use of a pivot, and an end portion of the core tube is connected to at least an inclined resilient buffer link at another end portion of the pivot. The innertube is passed through and pivoting within the core tube. The nozzle is secured at the front end of the inner tube by an adjustable joint. Moreover, the nozzle is also connected to a hose connected to a water source.
Abstract:
A pivoting joint with a ball and socket joined by trunnions for use in fluid conduits, particularly firefighting devices such as portable monitors and the like. The pivoting joint can be used on an inlet of the device to provide a pivoting motion for one or more inlet hoses, and/or on the outlet of the device to direct the discharge in one or more directions. An optional one-way brake can be used to limit unintended movement about one or more axis of motion.
Abstract:
An aerosol nozzle adaptor (10) for a nozzle head (11), the adaptor (10) comprising a mounting attachment (13) capable of maintaining a supporting engagement with an aerosol container (12) and a tube (14) having an internal passage and first (15) and second (16) tube ends, said first tube end (15) being adapted to engage the nozzle head (11) so as to provide a continuous fluid passage therewith and said second tube end (16) being adapted to direct the fluid upon the expulsion therefrom.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a collapsible connector member, an elongated flexible hose member, and a sprayer device. The collapsible member is attached to one end of the flexible hose member and the sprayer device is attached to the opposing end of the flexible hose member. The collapsible connector member is adapted to connect to any type, size, or shape of faucet or shower head, and the sprayer device is for directing the flow of water from the faucet.
Abstract:
A spray nozzle kit including a nozzle and a wrench. The nozzle includes a tubular body having an inlet for attachment to one end of a pipe and an outlet positioned opposite the inlet. A ball is provided for positioning within the tubular body. The ball has a passageway therein for the movement of a pressurized fluid ejected from the pipe into the inlet. A cover plate is provided for threadable fastening to the outlet to retain the ball within the tubular body. The cover plate has an opening for the passage of pressurized fluid from the passageway in the ball. The cover plate also has a pair of recesses located on opposite sides of the opening. A cap is removably positioned within the outlet for preventing dirt from entering the tubular body prior to the positioning of the ball within the tubular body and prior to the threadable fastening of the cover plate to the outlet. A wrench is used for rotating the cover plate. The wrench has a pair of pins that can be positioned within the recesses in the cover plate for applying torque to the cover plate.
Abstract:
A personal decontamination apparatus includes an adapter valve attachable to a water source for mixing water with a concentrated decontamination fluid for rapid detoxifying washing of the skin of a user exposed to toxic chemical, biological or nuclear radioactive substances.
Abstract:
Spray head with simplified activation particularly for kitchen sinks, comprising a body which can be connected to a water inlet duct and defining an inner chamber wherein a diverting valve element acts controlling two distinct water supply areas wherein the diverting valve element is axially mounted sliding and interacts with at least one cam slot defined by at least one oscillating equalizer which can be engaged by a slider supported by an oscillating button accessible on the external surface of the body.
