    摘要: A snowboard binding system comprising at least one moveable engaging member that, when engaged, secures a snowboarder's boot from vertical or horizontal movement. In one embodiment, a binding system has two active sides allowing a snowboarder to engage the binding by stepping downwardly onto the binding mechanism, thus reversibly forcing tensioned engaging members between an extended and a retracted position and back to an extended position, thereby securing the snowboarder's boot to the upper surface of a snowboard. Other embodiments include snowboard boots having active binding mechanisms positioned on the boot itself, such mechanisms engageable with static members secured to the surface of a snowboard. A further embodiment includes a snowboard boot having a pivotable calf support member and a pivotable, reversibly mounted high-back element.

    摘要: A rotatable binding for a snowboard comprises a base plate on the snowboard and a binding plate rotatably mounted on top of the base plate and including a foot binding and a locking assembly for selectively locking, at a desired angle of rotation, the binding plate to the base plate. In a preferred embodiment, the top of the base plate includes an indexing platform including a multiplicity of bores arranged in a circular arc about a central axis and the bottom of the base plate includes a pedestal, having a width about the width of a human foot, traversing the snowboard and supporting the indexing platform above top surface of the snowboard. The locking assembly includes a pin selectively moveable from a raised position, not restricting rotation of the binding plate relative to the base plate to a lowered position engaging an indexing bore such that the binding plate may not rotate relative to the base plate.

    摘要: A coupling for releasably mounting a boot with boot binding to a turntable which is adjustably secured to a snowboard. The boot binding includes a plurality of extending lock pins each with a shoe releasably locking into arcuate slots in the turntable. The boot binding is quickly directed to the coupling with a set of guide pins protruding from the boot binding, which pods also serve as improved traction devices when the boot binding is disengaged from the turntable. Also extending from the boot binding plate is a latch pin held under spring bias which when aligned in a hold position, fits into one of several latch pin holes in the turntable. To release the plates from hold position, the latch pin is pulled from the latch pin hole by a flexible hand extension release device hand operated from a standing position and the plates are rotated to disengage the shoes from the arcuate slots.

The first interface can be configured with a locking mechanism. The second interface can be configured to remove large clearances between the first interface and second interface, when the locking mechanism of the first interface is engaged with the second interface, allowing the first interface to attach tightly to the second interface and splitboard to improve the ride of the splitboard.
