Abstract:
An oral care implement having a head with a soft tissue cleaner disposed on a second side thereof. In one embodiment, the invention can be an oral care implement comprising: a handle; a head attached to the handle and having a first side and a second side; a plurality of tooth cleaning elements attached to the first side of the head; and a soft tissue cleaner disposed on the second side of the head, the soft tissue cleaner including a first portion comprising a plurality of projections and a second portion comprising a plurality of bristles.
Abstract:
An oral care implement such as a toothbrush includes a head defining a longitudinal axis and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements supported by the toothbrush head. The tooth cleaning elements preferably include at least one tooth polishing unit having a polishing element including a supporting base and a flexible tooth polishing head extending angularly from the base and defining a polishing surface. In a preferred embodiment, the polishing element is made of an elastomeric material. In some embodiments, the polishing element may be comprised of a plurality of individual polishing members.
Abstract:
An oral care implement is provided having a head frame and a cleaning elements assembly attached thereto with tooth cleaning elements extending from one or more carriers. One or more central carriers can be suspended via a flexible bridge between a pair of support carriers attached to the head frame. The bridge may be formed from an elastomer and permit the one or more central carriers to move from an initial position toward the head frame during use. The bridge may include rigid supports and flexible elastomeric supports. The carriers and the bridge can be formed as a unitary assembly attached to the head frame, such as via mechanical connections. The mechanical connections could include snap-fit connections.

FIG. 1 is a front right perspective view of an oral care implement of the new design, the front left perspective view being a mirror image thereof; FIG. 2 is a rear left perspective view thereof, the rear right perspective view being a mirror image thereof; FIG. 3 is a front view thereof; FIG. 4 is a rear view thereof; FIG. 5 is a left side view thereof; FIG. 6 is a right side view thereof; FIG. 7 is a top view thereof; and, FIG. 8 is a bottom view thereof. The broken lines shown in the drawings illustrate portions of the oral care implement that form no part of the claimed design.
Abstract:
An oral care implement with a soft tissue cleaner. The oral care implement may include a handle and a head, the head having a first surface, and an opposite second surface, and a peripheral surface extending between the first and second surfaces. A soft tissue cleaner may have a first cleaner fixed to the second surface of the head and a second cleaner fixed to the peripheral surface of the head. Furthermore, the second cleaner may incorporate a plurality of grooves extending at least a portion of the distance from the first surface to the second surface along the peripheral surface.
Abstract:
A fluid delivery apparatus including a reservoir containing at least one fluid. A capillary channel extends from the reservoir to deliver the fluids stored in the reservoir through one or more fluid outlets via capillary action. In one embodiment, an applicator formed of a capillary material is located within the outlet. A variety of fluids can be administered for therapeutic, hygienic, and/or other benefits. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a housing defining a reservoir; at least one fluid stored in the reservoir; and a capillary channel in fluid coupling with the at least one fluid, the capillary channel including a first capillary member and a second capillary member that circumferentially surrounds the first capillary member such that the first and second capillary members are concentric.
Abstract:
An oral care implement having a multi-component handle. The oral care implement may include a head and a handle. The handle may have a front surface, a rear surface, and opposing first and second lateral surfaces. The handle may include an elongated handle body, a grip cover, and a transparent component. The elongated handle body and the grip cover may be opaque. The elongated handle body may form a portion of the front surface of the handle and the grip cover may form a portion of the rear surface of the handle. The transparent component may form a portion of each of the first and second lateral surfaces of the handle. Thus, the transparent component may form a window through the lateral surfaces of the handle.
Abstract:
An oral care implement that includes a conical tuft of bristles. In one embodiment, the invention is an oral care implement that includes a handle and a head coupled to the handle, the head having a front surface. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements extend from the front surface of the head. The plurality of tooth cleaning elements include a conical tuft that has a continuous bristle wall having an inner surface defining a cavity, the cavity having a transverse cross-sectional area that increases with distance from the front surface of the head. The plurality of tooth cleaning elements may also include a central cleaning element located within the cavity. The conical tuft may terminate in an annular top surface that undulates in height relative to the head. The plurality of tooth cleaning elements may include arcuate cleaning elements arranged in a loop about the conical tuft.
Abstract:
An oral care implement having a head with a soft tissue cleanser thereon. In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement including a handle and a head coupled to the handle, the head comprising a front surface; a rear surface opposite the front surface; a peripheral surface extending between the rear surface and the front surface; a first elastomeric soft tissue cleanser comprising a bumper portion that extends along the peripheral surface, the bumper portion comprising an undulating upper edge that includes a plurality of high points protruding above the rear surface and a plurality of low points located at or below the rear surface; and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the front surface.
