摘要： An interdental brush includes a handle, a stem member extending from the handle and at least one set of bristles extending radially from the stem member. The set of bristles includes a bristle pair that defines an angular brush gap. According to a method for cleaning an interdental space and corresponding periodontal pockets using the interdental brush, the interdental brush is aligned with the interdental space such that the angular brush gap is aligned with the gingiva of the interdental space. The interdental brush is further inserted into the interdental space, such that the gingiva is received within the angular brush gap and a bristle pair of the interdental brush extends into the periodontal pockets.

The tuft comprises a first group of filaments and at least a second group of filaments. The first group of filaments is surrounded by the second group of filaments. The filaments of the first group have a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the cross sectional area has a substantially circular shape with a first diameter. The filaments of the second group have a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the cross sectional area has a substantially circular shape with a second diameter. The first diameter is smaller than the second diameter. The first diameter is about 0.15 mm to about 0.16 mm, preferably about 0.152 mm (6 mil) and the second diameter is about 0.17 mm to about 0.18 mm, preferably about 0.178 mm (7 mil).

摘要： The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a peroxide containing tooth whitening composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the peroxide containing tooth whitening composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous peroxide containing tooth whitening compositions.
