Abstract: An exosuit includes a first structure including a series of link elements joined together by joints. The series of link elements extends along a length of the first structure. The joints are configured to flex such that, when the exosuit is worn by a user, the first structure at least partially conforms to a shape of the user's anatomy at a first side of the first structure that extends along the length. The joints restrict flexing that would deform a second side of the first structure extending along the length of the first structure. The exosuit includes a second structure and an actuator coupled to the first structure and the second structure. The actuator causes movement of the first structure relative to the second structure. The exosuit includes an attachment portion to attach the exosuit to the user with the first side of the first structure facing toward the user.

Abstract: A system includes a color camera configured to detect visible light and ultraviolet (UV) light, a UV illuminator, and a processor configured to perform operations. The operations include causing the UV illuminator to emit UV light towards a portion of an environment and receiving, from the color camera, a color image that represents the portion illuminated by the emitted UV light and by visible light incident thereon. The operations also include determining a first extent to which UV light is attenuated in connection with pixels of the color camera that have a first color and a second extent to which UV light is attenuated in connection with pixels of the color camera that have a second color. The operations further include generating a UV image based on the color image, the first extent, and the second extent, and identifying a feature of the environment by processing the UV image.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium for skin health monitoring including instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform various operations. The operations include obtaining first scan data representing a first hyperspectral scan of a user's skin at a first time. The operations include obtaining second scan data representing one or more previous hyperspectral scans of the user's skin during a period of time prior the first time. The operations include determining, based on providing the first scan data and the second scan data as input features to a machine learning model, a likelihood that the user will develop a predicted skin condition in the future. The operations include providing, for display on a user computing device associated with the user, information about the predicted skin condition.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for a lighting controller for sea lice detection. In some implementations, a pulse of red light and a pulse of blue light can be timed with the exposure of a camera to capture multiple images of a fish or group of fishes in both red and blue light. By using the captured images with different color light, computers can detect features on the body of a fish including sea lice, skin lesions, shortened operculum or other physical deformities and skin features. Detection results can aid in mitigation techniques or be stored for analytics. For example, sea lice detection results can inform targeted treatments comprised of lasers, fluids, or mechanical devices such as a brush or suction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable storage media, for automated camera positioning for feeding behavior monitoring. In some implementations, a system obtains an image of a scene from one or more cameras and a spatial model that corresponds to a subfeeder. The system determines, based on data from the spatial model and the image of the scene, a current position of the one or more cameras relative to the subfeeder. The system selects an updated position of the one or more cameras relative to the subfeeder. The system moves the one or more cameras to the updated position. In some implementations, the system dynamically selects the updated position of the one or more cameras relative to the subfeeder.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for processing representations of EEG measurements. One of the methods includes obtaining a plurality of EEG signal measurements corresponding to respective EEG trials of a user; generating a time-domain representation from the plurality of EEG signal measurements, where the time-domain representation includes a plurality of rows, and where each row corresponds to a different set of one or more EEG signal measurements; applying the time-domain representation as input to a neural network having a plurality of network parameters, final values of the network parameters having been determined by a transfer learning process where the neural network is initially trained to perform an image processing task and the neural network is subsequently trained to perform EEG analysis; and obtaining, from the neural network, a mental health prediction for the user.

Abstract: A method for generating spectroscopic data includes inputting, by a computing device, a text string comprising a structural representation of a material to an encoder of a natural language processing (NLP) model implemented with a deep neural network. The method includes generating, using the encoder of the NLP model, an encoded representation of the text string. The text string may include latent chemical bond information of the material. The method includes mapping, by the computing device, the encoded representation including the latent chemical bond information to a spectrum array, the spectrum array including predicted spectroscopic data of the material. The method also includes outputting, by the computing device, the spectrum array.
