Abstract:
An improved binder clip is provided. The binder clip includes a clamping means, opposed gripping means attached to the clamping means, and a label holder that is attached to, or that is integral with, the clamping means. An identifying label is inserted into the label holder for easy identification of the material that is bound by the binder clip.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a rolling information display apparatus for use with a roller grill includes an elongated envelope. A cap is removably positioned over at least one opening of the envelope. An information bearing medium is removably positioned inside the envelope. In one embodiment, a sealing member is disposed to create a substantially watertight seal over at least one opening of the envelope. In another aspect, a rolling information display apparatus for use with a roller grill is a cylindrical rolling member having one or more rolling surfaces rolling in contact with heated rolling surfaces of the grill. The cylindrical rolling member also has one or more recessed surfaces bearing information about food items offered for sale on the grill. The recessed surfaces are provided in regions of the rolling member that are of diameter less than regions of the rolling member in which the rolling surfaces are provided.
Abstract:
A greeting card display system and method presents cards in grouped arrangements by category and sub-category. Locator headers span multiple columns of a tiered matrix of card stations to define the area of a group of cards. Related groups of cards are relatively positioned in the display to facilitate customer location of cards of a particular category or subcategory. A header or megalocator, which defines a broad category or theme of cards such as nullBirthdaynull, extends over all of the columns of card stations of the display. Separate locators, beneath the header, extend over some of the columns of card stations below the header, and define a subcategory of cards such as nullBirthday for Hernull. All of the cards under the subcategory locators are within the defined subcategory, until another locator is reached, defining another subcategory such as nullBirthday for Momnull. Because all of the cards of the subcategory defined by the locator are in stations directly below the locator, occasion-specific cards can be easily located on the display. The greeting card display system can also be implemented in an on-line retail environment.
Abstract:
Discloses a method of making scanning hooks with a release agent on the label attachment tab. Stock is formed by laminating a plastic sheet which will provide the main carrier body of the overlay and a thin film which has a release agent strongly bonded to its outer surface. The film is bonded to the main plastic layer, such as by an adhesive. Overlay blanks are cut from the resulting laminate stock as by die cutting. The overlay blanks then are bent and mounted on scanning hooks, with the tab portion extending essentially vertically and presenting an outwardly exposed release surface which provides ready appliability, removability and replaceability of merchandising labels which bear information related to the products supported on the hanger.
Abstract:
A holder for an electronic information carrier includes a body having a cavity for holding an associated electronic price label, a rear wall having a convex section and an aperture extending through the convex section. An adapter cooperates with the body. The adapter has a front wall with a concave section in which the rear wall convex section of the body can be accommodated. An aperture extends through the concave section. The adapter aperture is aligned with the body rear wall convex section aperture. A fastener selectively extends through the aligned aperture to secure the holder to the adapter and orient the body at a first angle to a horizontal plane.
Abstract:
Shelf mounted electronic display modules which preferably include a first outwardly extending portion containing an electronic display and an antenna positioned outwardly from a shelf rail when mounted and a second rearwardly extending portion containing a printed wiring board and a battery power source positioned behind and protected by the shelf rail when mounted. The first outwardly extending portion and the second rearwardly extending portion are preferably connected below the shelf rail by a bight portion which mechanically and electronically connects the first outwardly extending portion and the second rearwardly extending portion together to form a substantially U-shaped configuration.
Abstract:
A retail shelf molding includes a rear wall having a channel for holding information or inventory tickets and a front wall having an outwardly facing channel for displaying price tickets. The shelf molding is preferably integrally formed as an extrusion wherein the rear wall and the front wall are connected by a living hinge. The living hinge is located at the bottom edges of the front and rear walls so that they hingeably open from the top edge.
Abstract:
An advertising display mounting device is provided for attaching promotional displays, dispensers, or other objects to a price channel mounted on the edge of a grocery or other retail store shelf. The advertising display mounting device has first and second clips adapted to mate with the price channel of a grocery or other retail store shelf. The clips are forced into mated relation with the price channel by a locking slide. First clip is provided having a plurality of teeth. Second clip has a slot formed therein for accepting first clip so that first and second clips are oriented parallel to each other and to the price channel. A channel formed in second clip accepts a locking slide, also having one or more teeth for cooperating with the corresponding teeth on first clip. As locking slide is forced into the channel, first and second teeth mesh and move the first clip relative to the second clip to lock the mounting device in the price channel. Attachment is also provided by a spring nested inside a sleeve to limit the degree of extension of the spring and sleeve assembly and to secure the shelftalker or other mounted object to second clip.
Abstract:
A mounting device is provided for attaching promotional displays, dispensers, or other objects to a shelf in a grocery or other retail store shelf. The mounting device has resilient first and second jaws that are forced into engagement with the shelf by a locking slide. In one preferred embodiment, first jaw and second jaw are oriented at slightly less a 90.degree. angle relative to the body of the mounting device. The body has a vertical slot into which a rack attached to the second jaw slides and a horizontal channel into which a locking slide is inserted to cooperate with the rack. The rack has teeth which mesh with cooperating teeth on a locking slide to move the jaws together. In addition, the body has, for example a price channel, to which an advertising or promotional display device such as a shelftalker, or other object can be mounted.
Abstract:
A universal label holder having a plurality of attachments which are functionally designed for different kinds of display units. The label holder has a first assembly extending therefrom that allows a display unit attachment to be connected thereto. Several different display unit attachments each having a second assembly to connect to the first assembly may be used with the label holder. The different display unit attachments also each have fixing part to connect to a display unit. Thus, the universal label support achieves uniform labeling for a group of different display units in the same store.
