Abstract:
A converter for an optical scanner of the type having a scanner linear photosensor array, a scanner imaging assembly which normally images a moving scan line portion of a closely adjacently positioned object onto the linear photosensor array including a converter imaging assembly having at least one optical element which cooperates with the scanner imaging assembly to image a scan line portion of a scene remote from said optical scanner onto said scanner linear photosensor array.

An input/display integrated information processing device has: image display circuit for displaying document and image information; image input circuit through which information of an image such as a picture, a photograph, documents drawn or written on a sheet presented by the user can be an input; a visual coincidence structure for integrally combining a display screen of the image display circuit with an input screen of the image input circuit so as to establish visual coincidence of screens as viewed from the user; contact information detection circuit for, when a finger of the user, the sheet presented by the user, or the like makes contact with the contact information detection circuit, detecting information of a contact position, the contact information detection circuit being disposed on the whole of the input screen of the image input circuit or the display screen of the image display circuit; image extraction circuit for automatically extracting only a required portion from image information input through the image input circuit; image information storage circuit for storing the image information; image synthesize circuit for combining the image with an image which is already displayed and stored; and image information control circuit for controlling input/output operations of the image information.
Abstract:
An image pickup apparatus includes an optical system for forming an image of an object. An image pickup section effects the image pickup operation by causing a one-dimensional image pickup device to scan an image formed by the optical system. A light exposure detecting section detects light exposure based on a luminance signal output according to the scanning operation of the one-dimensional image pickup device at the light exposure detection time. A control section controls the image pickup section according to the light exposure detected by the light exposure detecting section at the time of image pickup operation.
Abstract:
An image reading and recording apparatus such as an electronic blackboard includes a reading unit movable along a guide rail for reading information written on a board, a drive motor integral with the reading unit and operative to move the reading unit relative to the board, and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving force of the drive motor to the reading unit so as to move the reading unit relatively to the board. The power transmission mechanism is composed of a pulley fixed to a drive shaft of the motor and a wire rope extending along the guide rail in a stretched condition and wound around the pulley by one turn. Upon rotation of the motor, the pulley rolls on and along the wire rope, thereby moving the reading unit relative to the board. Due to a large contact area provided between the pulley and the wire rope, the movement of the reading unit is highly reliable and hence the information on the board can be read with high accuracy. The apparatus also includes an image recording unit which is so constructed as to prevent accidental separation of a recording paper from a recording head, thereby ensuring a high quality printing of the information on the recording paper.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display projector combined with a video printer is capable of copying a desired picture being displayed on a screen as a photograph. The combination of a liquid crystal display projector and a video printer has a projection optical system including a concave mirror, an LCD panel, a projection lens, and a partial reflective mirror provided between the LCD panel and the projection lens. A copier optical system is also included which has a total reflective mirror, a copier lens, an LCD shutter, and photographic film on which an image signal passing through the partial reflective mirror is formed. A control circuit supplies a video drive signal to the LCD panel and a shutter output control signal to the LCD shutter when a copy selection signal is applied to the control circuit. Still picture data are outputted and applied through the LCD driver to the LCD panel so that the image passing through the copier lens is formed on the photographic film.
Abstract:
A pattern erasably written on a black board or a flexible sheet in a meeting is printed to a hard copy through scanning of the pattern by an image sensor which provides an electrical signal relating to the pattern, and printing the pattern on a paper according to said electrical signal. The present print board comprises a housing, a writing sheet or a black board mounted on said housing, an elongated lamp for illuminating an elongated portion of said sheet, an image sensor to provide an electrical signal relating to the pattern on a scanning line on the sheet illuminated by said lamp, means for relatively moving said image sensor to said sheet for full scanning of the pattern, and a printer for providing a hard copy of the pattern with smaller size than said pattern according to said electrical signal from said image sensor. The present print board has also a digital memory for storing the output of the image sensor for the late printing, and/or means for transmitting and receiving the pattern signal to and from a telephone line for a remote printing.
Abstract:
An incremental optical position sensing system utilizes a single laser beam and an out of focus grating which is between a pair of lenses whose focal planes coincide. The scanning laser beam passes through the first lens, scans the grating, passes through the second lens and impinges upon a pair of sensors. The phase correlation between the signals from the sensors is used to determine the direction of motion of the laser beam and an up/down counter is utilized to accumulate the absolute position of the beam.
