摘要： A nozzle attachment for use in combination with a vacuum cleaner to inflate or deflate air expandable articles, a portion of the nozzle having a relatively large diameter for coupling with the free end of a flexible hose, a relatively small extended tip portion insertable into bodies of inflation valves to mechanically open recessed check valve elements, and an intermediate cross sectional transition portion having at least one conical zone for sealing against the mouths of the inflation valve bodies. For inflation, the opposite end of the hose is connected to the fan outlet of the vacuum cleaner while for evacuation it is connected to the fan inlet.

摘要： A device for dedusting loose materials in which there is provided an inclined covered trough along which the loose material travesl downwards. The trough bottom has an opening with a slot type grate through which from a bottom inlet, a flow of compressed air is delivered to pass through the bed of material and be extracted together with dust particles of the material through an inlet in the top portion of the trough. The slotted grate is composed of separate and parallel strips positioned in a step-like fashion perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the trough. These strips are installed for possible turning in relation to their longitudinal axes to adjust the width of the slots therebetween.

摘要： A vacuum cleaner having a blower feature as well as a pickup feature, the cleaner comprising a tank having an interior space for receiving dirt and debris, a blower assembly mounted on the tank and comprising a housing defining an interior space in communication with the interior space of the tank through an inlet passage, and a motor-driven blower for moving air from the tank through the inlet passage into the housing. The housing provides a discharge port proportioned and constructed such that a blower hose can be connected thereto, and said housing also provides discharge vents for its said interior space, the discharge vents being in addition to and separate from the discharge port. The discharge vents or bleed-off vents are proportioned to bleed off from approximately 60 to 80% of the air drawn through the inlet passage. The bleed-off vents extend about substantially the whole peripheral extent of the blower housing, the vents being axially relatively narrow and considerably less in axial depth than the axial depth of the interior space of the blower housing. The blower includes a centrifugal blower wheel with a center opening such that it delivers air radially outwardly toward the said bleed-off vents.

摘要： Apparatus for separating particulate solid material from a stream of gas, such as air, entraining such material includes a blower, a solids collection receptacle, ducting connected to the blower and to the receptacle and communicating with a source of gas with entrained particulate solid material, the blower, receptacle and ducting providing a substantially closed system in which gas is recirculated, the solid material being separated from the circulating gas and deposited in the collection receptacle. A portion of the circulating gas, usually not exceeding 30 percent by volume, is bled from the circulatory system and discharged to maintain the average pressure in the circulating system at a desired low value so as to prevent leakage blow-out of gas and entrained dust or fine solids. Means for bleeding gas off from the system is situated within structure housing the blower and a separation chamber. The solids collecting receptacle is mounted so as to be bodily movable away from the blower and ducting housing structure and so as to respond to such bodily movement by tipping to dump accumulated solids. The gas cleaning apparatus is disclosed in connection with mobile surface sweeping equipment including a pick-up head having means for regulating the flow of air from a pressure chamber against the surface being cleaned and into a suction chamber in the pick-up head.

摘要： A cleaning device utilizing the properties of a fluid at atmosphere plus pressure or above atmospheric pressure to effect a cleaning operation. An electric motor on the cleaning device generates a small stream of atmosphere plus fluid such as, but not necessarily limited to, air, which stream of fluid is made to ''''bend'''' within the cleaning device, and reverse the direction of flow of the fluid stream. This design feature accomplishes three objectives: (1) it eliminates the need for the conventional and relatively inefficient vacuum type cleaner; (2) it forces a relatively small volume of fluid to attach itself to the underside of a horizontal surface; and (3) it encourages the relatively small volume fluid stream to entrain within its path substantially large volumes of dust-saturated fluid. Thus, instead of ''''sucking up'''' dirt as conventional cleaning devices of this nature do by means of vacuum or negative pressure, the cleaning device in this invention uses a stream of positive pressure fluid to push the dirt-and-dust-saturated fluid into a suitable receptacle.
