Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products are provided for managing contactless transactions. A first tap is performed when a system is placed within a predetermined proximity to a payment terminal. A first select command including an AID corresponding to a first application is received from the payment terminal. A first response based on the first select command is transmitted to the payment terminal. A data request including information indicating supported data types is received from the payment terminal. A second response based on the data request and including transaction data is transmitted to the payment terminal. The transaction data includes at least a portion of commerce data stored in the at least one memory.

Abstract: To allow a user to provide a voice instruction to either a portable device or a computing device embedded within a vehicle, both the portable device and the embedded computing device receive the voice instruction such as, “Direct me to Kansas City.” Moreover, both the portable device and the embedded computing device may determine the likelihoods that the portable device and the computing device, respectively, can carry out the voice instruction. The portable device and the computing device may then communicate with each other to compare the determined likelihoods. Based on the comparison, either the portable device or the computing device may respond to the voice instruction by, for example, playing a requested song, turning on the radio in the vehicle, providing navigation directions from the current location to a destination, etc.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automatic detection of landmarks in digital images and annotation of those images are disclosed. A method for detecting and annotating landmarks in digital images includes the steps of automatically assigning a tag descriptive of a landmark to one or more images in a plurality of text-associated digital images to generate a set of landmark-tagged images, learning an appearance model for the landmark from the set of landmark-tagged images, and detecting the landmark in a new digital image using the appearance model. The method can also include a step of annotating the new image with the tag descriptive of the landmark.

Abstract: Embodiments are described of an apparatus including an eyepiece having a front surface, a back surface spaced apart from the front surface, and an edge forming a perimeter of the eyepiece. The eyepiece includes an angled surface to direct light eye-measurement light reflected from an eye into the eyepiece and to direct display light out of the eyepiece to the eye. A first waveguide is formed in the eyepiece and extending from the angled surface to the edge, the first waveguide being optically coupled to a first portion of the angled surface having a first surface treatment. And a second waveguide is formed in the eyepiece and extending from the angled surface to the edge, the second waveguide being optically coupled to a second portion of the angled surface having a second surface treatment.

A method includes receiving, by a processing device of a first user device, an encrypted media item and a wrapped encryption key from a second user device via a peer-to-peer connection; transmitting, by the first user device, the wrapped encryption key and a request to a media server to determine whether the first user device is authorized to play the encrypted media item; receiving, from the media server, a response indicating the first user device is authorized to play the encrypted media item, the response comprising an encryption key derived from the wrapped encryption key; and decrypting the encrypted media item using the encryption key to play the media item.
