Abstract:
Systems and techniques are provided for trust agents. Trust agents may be enabled. A state determination may be received from each of the enabled trust agents. The state determination may indicate either a trusted state or an untrusted state. The received state determinations may be combined to determine a security state. A security measure may be enabled or disabled based on the determined security state.
Abstract:
A computing device outputs, for display, a virtual keyboard comprising a plurality of virtual keys. Furthermore, the computing device receives an indication of a first movement of an input object along a spatial path. The computing device determines, based on locations of the virtual keys and locations along the spatial path, a plurality of character strings. In response to determining that the first movement has ceased for at least a threshold amount of time, the computing device outputs, for display, the plurality of character strings. While the character strings are displayed, the computing device receives an indication of a second movement of the input object. The computing device selects, in response to the indication of the second movement, and based at least in part on a direction of the second movement of the input object, a particular character string from the plurality of character strings.
Abstract:
A method may include, in a computing device with a touch screen, memory and at least one processor, detecting at least one gesture event associated with the computing device, while consuming multimedia data. Upon detecting the at least one gesture event, at least one multimedia device located in a direction of the at least one gesture event and communicatively coupled to the computing device in a wireless network may be detected. At least a portion of the multimedia data may be communicated using the wireless network, to the at least one multimedia device, for consumption at the at least one multimedia device. Detecting the at least one gesture event may include detecting a finger swipe gesture from an edge of the touch screen and in an inward direction towards the touch screen.
Abstract:
A computing device is described that outputs for display at a presence-sensitive screen a lock screen graphical user interface. The lock screen graphical user interface includes an unlock region and a widget region including a first widget. The computing device receives an indication of a user input received at a location of the presence-sensitive screen within the widget region. The computing device determines a characteristic of the user input including at least one of a shape, a length, a velocity, and an acceleration. Responsive to determining that the determined characteristic exceeds a threshold, the computing device outputs for display an updated widget region of the lock screen graphical user interface that includes a second widget.

Abstract:
In some implementations, a computer-implemented method of displaying alert information with a mobile communication device includes displaying device status indicators to a user of a mobile device in a status area; receiving information from an application to display an alert in the status area; displaying in the status area a first level of information for the alert and a user-selectable control; and displaying, in response to a selection of the user-selectable control, a second level of information for the alert that provides greater detail than the first level of information.

Abstract:
A computing device (CD) outputs a graphical user interface (GUI) for display at a display device (DD). The GUI includes a grouping of elements that includes an expandable element (EE) having a first size. While the DD displays a first or a last element of the grouping, the CD receives an indication of a gesture including a linear movement of an input point away from the first or last element, e.g., in a direction in which the EE is expandable, and outputs a modified GUI that includes the EE having a second size. Alternatively, the GUI includes multiple EEs having respective sizes. The CD receives an indication of a gesture including a linear movement of multiple input points across the DD, and, while the input points are located within a region of the DD that displays an EE, outputs a modified GUI that includes the EE having a different size.
Abstract:
A computing device is described that outputs for display at a presence-sensitive screen a lock screen graphical user interface. The lock screen graphical user interface includes a widget region and an unlock region. The widget region includes a widget and an overlay that at least partially obscures the widget. The computing device receives an indication of a user input and determines a characteristic of the user input. In response to determining that the determined characteristic satisfies a threshold, the computing device removes the overlay from the widget region.
