    Abstract: Improving a medical scan of a head anatomy of a patient by: providing a number of scan datasets related to the head anatomy; providing intraoral data related to one or more intraoral features of the patient; determining, using the intraoral data, those parts of the scan datasets during acquisition of which a movement related to the intraoral features is detected; constructing and/or correcting the medical scan, from the scan datasets, in response to the determination. The present teachings also relate to a method of improving a CT scan, a system, a device, and a storage medium.

    Abstract: A dental turbine driven by pressurized air comprises a head housing (1) with a turbine chamber (2) and a rotor shaft (3) mounted using an anti-friction bearing (8a) with a non-rotatably mounted turbine wheel (13). The outer race (10a) of the anti-friction bearing (8a) extends into the turbine chamber (2) in axial direction. The turbine wheel (13) comprises an annular web (16a) that is arranged concentrically to the outer race (10a) of the anti-friction bearing (8a) and, together with the outer race (10a), forms a gap seal (17a). This gap seal (17a) extends in axial direction between outer race (10a) and annular web (16a) and prevents the sucking-in of liquids and dirt particles into the turbine chamber (2) during inertial rotation of the turbine wheel (13).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a dental prosthesis part production method, wherein: a dental prosthesis part model is generated taking into account a dental model; a load analysis of the dental prosthesis part model is carried out; a first reinforcing structure model having a first shape and position is arranged inside the dental prosthesis part model and the dental prosthesis part model is reduced by a volume corresponding to the arranged first reinforcing structure model; the reduced dental prosthesis part model is divided into a lower partial volume and an upper partial volume; a lower part of the dental prosthesis part is produced from a first composite material according to the lower partial volume by means of the 3D printer; a first reinforcing structure corresponding to the first reinforcing structure model is arranged on the first part of the dental prosthesis part; and, by means of the 3D printer using the first composite material, an upper part of the dental prosthesis part according to the upper partial volume is placed onto the lower part of the dental prosthesis part comprising the arranged first reinforcing structure.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method of planning of the shapes of free-form tool paths (P) for simultaneous two-sided machining of a dental restoration (1) having an individual free-form target geometry from a workpiece (2) by using a dental tool machine (3) having at least two tool spindles each having at least one tool (4) arranged on a different side of the workpiece (2) which is simultaneously movable along an axis (y) relative to the tools (4) thereby imposing a kinematic axis coupling. The method includes a step of determining transformations (T′, T″) of the target geometry by which the kinematic axis coupling is converted into a common coupling parameter for both tools (4); and a step of generating dependent on these transformations (T′, T″) the shapes of the free-form tool paths (P) in which the common coupling parameter is identical in time for all participating tool spindles that are driven simultaneously.
