摘要: Provided herein are systems and methods for additive manufacture of a customized ocular contact lens for a subject in a fast and convenient manner. In various aspects disclosed herein, methods disclosed herein provide for the imaging of the outer surface of a subject's cornea, designing a customized ocular contact lens based on the data from the imaging of the cornea, including determining anterior and posterior surfaces of the ocular contact lens, manufacturing the ocular contact lens using additive manufacturing, verifying the fit of the customized ocular contact lens on the subject's cornea, and verifying the optical power of the customized ocular contact lens. These features allow for the fast and convenient production of an ocular contact lens customized to a subject's cornea and manufactured to a specified optical power.

摘要: An additive manufacturing device includes a container for containing feed stock material and having an optically transparent bottom wall. The additive manufacturing device further includes a radiation source configured to emit radiation in an optical path incident on the bottom wall and a sensor positioned in the optical path of the radiation above the bottom wall. The sensor is configured to sense a temperature of feedstock material at a reaction interface as the radiation polymerizes at least a portion of the feedstock material. The sensor is constructed to meet a transparency threshold and a flexibility threshold.

摘要: A method for printing a 3D part in a layer-wise manner includes providing a pool of polymerizable liquid in a vessel over a build window and positioning a downward-facing build platform in the pool, thereby defining a build region above the build window. The method includes selectively curing a volume of polymerizable liquid in the build region by imparting electromagnetic radiation through the build window to form a printed layer of the part adhered to the build platform and actively cooling the build window to remove energy imparted by the electromagnetic radiation and the polymerization reaction of the polymerizable liquid such that the printed layer is between about 1° C. and about 30° C. below an average part temperature prior to raising the print layer and printing the next layer.

The cartridge unit (10) includes an interior space (140) surrounded by a casing (14), wherein the casing of the cartridge unit is deformable and at least partially transparent to the radiation triggering the curing process. The interior space (140) surrounded by the casing has a volume including a receiving space (4) in which the photosensitive substance (3) is present for at least a duration of an irradiation and curing process and accessible to the radiation.

摘要: According to some aspects, an additive fabrication device and a build platform suitable for use within an additive fabrication device are provided. The build platform may include a build surface on which material may be formed by the additive fabrication device when the build platform is installed within the additive fabrication device. According to some embodiments, the build platform may include a flexible build layer and at least one removal mechanism configured to be actuated to apply a force to the flexible build layer. Such actuation may cause the flexible build layer to deform, thereby enabling separation of material adhered to the build surface from the build platform. According to some embodiments, the build platform may comprise a restorative mechanism that acts to return the flexible build layer to a flat state so that subsequent additive fabrication may form material on a flat build surface.
