Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently identifying a receive beam for performing a listen before talk (LBT) procedure in an attempt to gain access to a transmission opportunity (TxOP) in a shared radio frequency spectrum. In particular, a wireless device may select a receive beam that corresponds to one or more transmit beams to be used in a TxOP to perform an LBT procedure in an attempt to gain access to the TxOP. In one example, the wireless device may select a receive beam for performing an LBT procedure based on the energy of each of the transmit beams to be used in a TxOP. In another example, the wireless device may select a receive beam for performing an LBT procedure if the receive beam is quasi co-located with each of the transmit beams to be used in a TxOP.

Abstract: In an aspect, a PDCCH and a PDSCH are transmitted by a BS to a UE, whereby the PDCCH includes a first DCI part and the PDSCH includes a second DCI part (e.g., a 2-part DCI). In an example a first grant associated with the second DCI part is offset relative to a slot position of the second DCI part, whereas a second grant associated with the second DCI part is offset relative to the slot position to which the first grant is offset. In another aspect, two or more grants are grouped together, with the respective group being mapped to a PUCCH.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may prioritize a transmission scheme for a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state for receiving a downlink message from one or more transmission reception points (TRPs). The UE may receive a downlink control message via a first carrier that schedules a downlink signal for the UE via a second carrier. The UE may select one or more TCI states for reception of the downlink signal based at least in part on the prioritization of the first transmission scheme. The UE may receive the downlink signal via the second carrier in accordance with the selected one or more TCI states.

Abstract: Discussed is wireless communication that includes beam failure detection and recovery for high priority or broadcast CORESETs performed in wireless communication systems to effectuate an overall improvement in wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile device may monitor one or more first reference signals associated with wireless communication performed using one or more first reception beams. The mobile device may also monitor one or more second reference signals associated with wireless communication performed using one or more second reception beams. The mobile device may detect a failure in wireless communication performed using the one or more first reception beams based, at least in part, on the monitoring of the one or more first reference signals. The mobile device may also initiate a beam failure recovery procedure for the one or more first reception beams upon detecting the failure in wireless communication performed using the one or more first reception beams.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for joint communications among a UE and multiple transmission-reception points (TRPs) in which a subset of the multiple TRPs transmit periodic tracking reference signals (TRSs) for use in measurement and beam management at the UE and the multiple TRPs. The subset of TRPs may include TRPs having a relatively large contribution to signals received at the UE, and may transmit periodic (or semi-persistent) TRSs to be measured at the UE. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first transmit receive point (TRP), a downlink control information (DCI) communication, the UE being included in a multi-TRP configuration with the first TRP and a second TRP. The UE may determine information unique to the first TRP. The information unique to the first TRP may be at least one of associated with the DCI communication or included in the DCI communication. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence initialization code, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the information unique to the first TRP. Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives a configuration from a base station for receiving multiple repetitions of a transmission in a slot aggregation. The UE receives an indication indicating one or more beams used for the multiple repetitions of the transmission. The UE receives a first repetition of the transmission in a first slot based on single frequency network (SFN) operation using at least one configuration that is different from a configuration used for receiving a second repetition in a second slot based on non-SFN operation. The UE optionally determines, based on the indication, whether repetitions within the multiple repetitions of the transmission are transmitted by the base station based on the SFN operation or the non-SFN operation.
