摘要: A distance measuring system of the active type wherein a distance ranging from a short distance to a great distance can be measured with a high degree of accuracy in accordance with a ratio between outputs of two light receiving elements. The system comprises light emitting means which emits light twice to an object, three or more light receiving elements, and selecting means which selects output signals of different pairs of the light receiving elements when the light emitting means emits light for the first and second times for measurement of distances within short and long distance ranges, respectively. The selected output signals in each pair are compared with each other to take a ratio between them, and distances are calculated based on the ratios thus obtained. Finally, a distance to the object is determined based on the calculated two distances. Where the distance measuring system is incorporated in a camera, the lens of the camera is actuated in accordance with the distance value measured by the system.

摘要: A single-lens reflex camera comprises a taking lens having a zooming optical system, a finder whose angle of view is determined according to a focal length of the taking lens, and an operation member which is manually operated. In the single-lens reflex camera, the focal length of the taking lens is changed by driving the zooming optical system, and the zooming operation is controlled in response to an operation of the operation member so that the focal length of the taking lens is changed in the wide-angle direction by a predetermined amount. An angle of view corresponding to that which is seen before the focal length is changed is displayed within the finder.

摘要: A dc motor wherein a driving force thereof can be used effectively with a simple and compact mechanical construction and a motor controlling system which can control such a dc motor to be driven efficiently. The motor comprises at least two coils, and change-over means for changing electric connection of the coils to change over the motor, when power is selectively supplied to the coils, between a first mode in which the torque produced is relatively high and the rotational frequency is relatively low and a second mode in which the torque is relatively low and the rotational frequency is relatively high. The motor controlling system includes selecting means for automatically selecting one of the first and second modes to control the change-over means in response to a given condition of the motor.

Auto zoom operation is carried out by automatic movement of the taking lens so that the focal length of the taking lens may be equal to the calculated focal length.

摘要: A convertible car body structure which includes a pair of side structures, a front windshield structure and a rear structure, the body structure having a top opening and a back window opening. A roof panel and a back window panel are provided for covering the top opening and the back window opening of the car body structure, respectively. The roof panel is connected at the rear end portion swingably with the front end portion of the back window panel so that the roof panel can be folded on the back window panel. The back window panel is connected at the rear end portion swingably with the rear body structure. The rear body structure is formed with a concave space for receiving the roof panel and the back window panel after the roof panel has been folded on the back window panel. A concealing cover panel is provided on the rear body structure for covering the concave space. The cover panel is swingably connected at a rear end portion with the rear body structure adjacent to a rear end portion of the concave space in the rear body structure. A locking mechanism is provided for retaining the concave cover panel on the rear structure so that fluttering of the cover panel is prevented. The locking mechanism includes a striker provided on the cover panel, a latch member provided on the rear structure for engagement with the striker and a driving mechanism for the latch member.

摘要: A piezo-electric actuating device employing a piezo-electric element as an actuating member wherein a sufficient amount of movement of a driven member such as a shutter of a camera can be assured. The piezo-electric element of the device includes a first piezo-electric member which is contracted when a first voltage of a first polarity is applied thereacross and which is elongated when a second voltage of a second polarity opposite to the first polarity is applied thereacross, and a second piezo-electric member which is contracted when the second voltage is applied thereacross and which is elongated when the first voltage is applied thereacross. The piezo-electric member is deformed to move a driven member in one or the other when the first or second voltage is applied thereto, and the first and second piezo-electric members have a higher yield strength against deformation thereof by application of the first voltage than by application of the second voltage.
