    Abstract: A friction driven beltless grain spreader system is presented that includes a spreader cone having a pulley and a grain deflector configured to disperse the flow of grain. A motor having a driven wheel and an idler wheel are pivotally connected to the spreader cone in operative engagement with the pulley such that the idler wheel is positioned between the driven wheel and the pulley. A tension member applies a force that pulls the driven wheel and intermediary wheel into the pulley. As the motor rotates the driven wheel rotates the idler wheel which rotates the pulley. When forces spike, such as when the motor is turned on or a heavy flow of grain hits the system, one or more of the driven wheel, intermediary wheel and/or pulley slip with respect to the other wheels thereby preventing breakage of the system.

    Abstract: Material is removed from a storage silo that has a conveyor outlet, a system for supporting the outlet within the silo comprising removable legs mounted in deployed positions, and a sweep comprising bumpers. The material is extracted until one leg is accessible out of the material, which is then removed from the deployed position thereof. The sweep is then operated to continue extracting more material until one bumper thereof bumps into another of the deployed legs. The sweep is then stopped, and that other leg is also removed from the deployed position thereof. This sequence of operating and stopping the sweep, and removing each deployed leg, is continued for each of the deployed legs until all of the legs are removed from the deployed positions. Each removed leg may be placed onto the supporting system in a stored position thereof. The sweep is then operated to continue extracting more material.

    Abstract: A belt conveyor has an upward sloping tube and a hopper extending outward from the lower intake end of the tube. A belt has an upper run passing along a hopper floor of the hopper then over a top S-roller of an S-roller assembly, under a bottom S-roller thereof, and up through the tube. Resilient bottom seal strips each extend along each side of the hopper with lower edges thereof bearing against the belt adjacent to side edges of the belt and resilient top seal strips are fastened on top of the corresponding bottom seal strips such that a lower edge of each top seal strip bears against the belt beside the lower edge of the corresponding bottom seal strip. Roller seals seal edges of the S-rollers and the belt passing therethrough, and a support surface supports the belt between the bottom S-roller and the intake end of the tube.
