    摘要: A connector for a tire inflation system includes a body with an air inlet receiving pressurized air from an air supply and an air outlet to communicate the pressurized air to at least one tire. The body is to be connected to a rotating wheel component and includes an internal cavity connecting the air inlet to the air outlet. A seal assembly is positioned within the internal cavity. A tube has a first end supported by the seal assembly and a second end that is to be coupled to a non-rotating axle component. The seal assembly and tube are rotatable relative to each other and seal assembly is rotatable relative to the body. The tube communicates pressurized air from the non-rotating axle component to the air inlet to inflate the tire as needed.

    摘要: A system for introducing upwardly a flexible member into a tubular fixed structure with a sleeve surrounding the flexible member in the region where the flexible member attaches to the tubular fixed structure. The system comprises means for enabling the flexible member to be drawn upwardly into a bore of the tubular fixed structure, said bore being defined by an inner surface of said tubular structure, clamping means on the sleeve temporarily clamping the sleeve and flexible member together, and release means on the sleeve adapted to automatically release the clamping means when the sleeve attains a fixed disposition with respect to the tubular fixed structure, such as to permit continued movement of the flexible member with respect to the sleeve. The clamping means comprise a plurality of locking dogs attached to and radially moveable with respect to the sleeve between an inner locking position in which they engage with the flexible member, and an outer release position in which they are disengaged from the flexible member. The release means comprises a latch ring disposed on a substantially cylindrical surface so that it may be deflected axially along said surface on contact between the sleeve and tubular fixed structure to permit release of said locking dogs.

    摘要: A hydraulic fluid coupling for attaching two hydraulic hoses that comprises an inline swivel joint to prevent twisting of the hoses. The coupling comprises a first and second coupling portion, with the second coupling portion rotatable relative to the first coupling portion. There are two bearings and a ring shaped piston that slides toward the second bearing in response to fluid pressure inside the coupling. Engagement of the piston with the second bearing urges the second coupling portion towards the first coupling portion, against the action of fluid pressure between the first and second couplings. This reduces the load on the first bearing and transfers some of that load to the second bearing, thereby making it easier to rotate the second coupling portion.
