    Abstract: A system and method for generating high-resolution imagery using electromagnetic signals includes a moveable vehicle and a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system carried by the vehicle. The MIMO radar system includes an antenna array having a plurality of antenna elements. One or more of the antenna elements transmits electromagnetic signals towards a target area and one or more of the antenna elements receives back-scattered electromagnetic signals reflected from the target area. The system generates high-resolution three-dimensional imagery based on back-scattered electromagnetic signal data with system performance characterized by: (a) down range resolution ΔR; (b) cross-range resolution ΔX; and (c) vertical resolution ΔH. The system exploits effective synthetic apertures to improve cross-range resolution ΔX and vertical resolution ΔH based on, at least in part, the movement of the vehicle along the trajectory and a width and height of the antenna array relative to the target area.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method of geolocating a target includes: receiving, from a plurality of sources, a corresponding plurality of angle estimates of the target relative to the respective sources; generating a corresponding plurality of planar renditions of the received angle estimates; selecting a combination of two or more planar renditions whose intersection defines a polygon; in response to multiple such combinations, selecting one having a largest number of planar renditions; and determining a center of the polygon of the selected combination. A computer-implemented method of evaluating geolocation geometry with respect to a target includes: geolocating the target from received sensor data of the target from multiple sources and location data of the sources; generating entries of a covariance matrix from the location data and the geolocation; deriving eigenvalues of the covariance matrix from the generated entries; and comparing the derived eigenvalues to evaluate the geolocation geometry with respect to the target.

    Abstract: A dynamic differential amplifier includes: gain transistors to drive with differential input voltage levels; sample capacitors having first terminals to ramp from an initial voltage level to differential amplified voltage levels of the input voltage levels in response to the driven gain transistors; and adjustment circuits to adjust the amplified voltage levels in the direction of the initial voltage level by an offset voltage level. In some cases, second terminals of the sample capacitors are a common-mode node to maintain a common-mode voltage level midway between the ramping voltage levels of the first terminals. In some cases, the dynamic differential amplifier further includes a comparison circuit to compare the maintained common-mode voltage level to a threshold voltage level, wherein the first terminals of the sample capacitors stop ramping and the adjustment circuits adjust the amplified voltage levels in response to the compared common-mode voltage level reaching the threshold voltage level.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for multi-hop security amplification. The techniques disclosed provide multi-hop security amplification by applying a secret sharing scheme to data as the data is routed within a network to an intended recipient device. In an embodiment, a sending device divides the data into shares based on a secret sharing scheme, and sends the shares to respective network nodes in a network. These network nodes then divide their respective shares into lower-level shares based on the secret sharing scheme, and route the lower-level shares to downstream network nodes for further routing to the intended recipient device. The intended recipient device receives some or all of the lower-level shares and reconstructs the data from the received lower-level shares. In an embodiment, the secret sharing scheme is a threshold-based secret sharing scheme, such as Shamir's secret sharing scheme.

    Abstract: An electronic transmitter includes: a modulator to phase modulate a carrier signal with a baseband signal using a phase modulation sequence; and an emitter to emit the phase modulated signal. The phase modulated signal has poor autocorrelation, has a corresponding mismatched filter based on the phase modulation sequence, and is configured to demodulate into the baseband signal through poor cross-correlation with the mismatched filter. Sometimes, the transmitter is part of a sensing apparatus, where the emitter emits the phase modulated signal at a target and the emitted signal reflects off the target. The sensing apparatus includes a receiver that has a collector to collect the reflected signal, and a demodulator to demodulate the collected signal into the baseband signal through the poor cross-correlation with the mismatched filter. Sometimes, the transmitter is part of a communication system, where the emitter emits the phase modulated signal to an intended recipient.

    Abstract: A pressure relief valve having two rigid sealing surfaces lapped to a smoothness Ra of 8 micro-inches or less, and flatness within 80 micro-inches, forms a reliable seal by direct contact therebetween without an elastomer. The sealing surfaces and surrounding structures can be made of one or more metals, such as alloys of stainless steel, and can be CTE-matched, so that the valve is not impeded by environmental temperature changes. In a disclosed embodiment, a “poppet” is axially pressed against a seal plate by a spring. The poppet can be axially stabilized by sliding within a surrounding cylinder or spacer, and can contact the surrounding surface with a plurality of “arms” that reduce friction and enable gas flow therebetween. The poppet can be made from anti-galling Nitronic 60 alloy, and the surrounding structures can be stainless steel. Embodiments are suitable for low-pressure gas applications in extreme environments.

    Abstract: A scannable-latch random access memory (SLRAM) is disclosed. The SLRAM includes two rows of memory cells.     Abstract: An F-theta lens provides more than 88 degrees FFOV, F #2.8 or less, length not more than 200 mm, and/or 2.5 μm or better resolution, with color correction from 450 nm to 650 nm. The lens includes three optical groups having positive, negative, and positive optical powers respectively, which can include four, four, and six elements, respectively. Embodiments include an aperture stop in the center of the second optical group. Refractive indices and ray heights are selected to correct for field curvature. Embodiments further include a CMOS detector having pixel pitch of 1.25 microns or less, density of 18 megapixels or more, focal plane diameter of 57.2 mm or more, Nyquist sampling of 400 lines per mm or more and wide pixel field of view of 30° or more. A plurality of CMOS detectors can be arrayed to create a mosaic image.
