Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to apparatus, methods, and computer program products for using e-receipts for micro loyalty targeting. The apparatus, methods, and computer program products comprise: a memory; a processor; and a module stored in memory, executable by a processor, and configured to: receive information associated with a purchase of an item, wherein the item includes an item category; increment a counter associated with the item category; determine, in response to incrementing the counter associated with the item category, if the counter equals or exceeds a predetermined threshold value; and transmit, in response to determining the counter equals or exceeds a predetermined threshold value, a message to a second apparatus.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relates to systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products for completing a mobile banking transaction at a trusted location. In some embodiments, the system is configured to: (a) receive input relating to user-designated trusted locations for completing a mobile banking transaction, (b) receive input from the user relating to a transaction request, (c) determine whether the mobile device is located at a trusted locations, and (d) complete the transaction request; or store the transaction request in a queue for mobile banking transactions on the mobile device.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and associated method of using a customer's mobile device as an online banking remote control for another customer device. The system typically includes a processor, a memory, and an online banking module stored in the memory. The module is typically configured for (i) associating the mobile device with the customer's online banking account and (ii) binding the mobile device to another computing device. In addition, the module is typically configured for subsequently receiving a remote access command associated with the customer's online banking account and associated with the computing device from the mobile device. The remote access of the computing device to the customer's online banking account can then be modified based on the remote access command and determining that (i) the mobile device is associated with the customer's online banking account and (ii) the mobile device is bound to the computing device.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing an interactive conversation box to a customer of a financial institution. Embodiments initiate presentation, to the customer of the financial institution, of an interface comprising a graphical interactive conversation box; initiate presentation, concurrently with presentation of the conversation box and to the customer of the financial institution, of a graphical element representing a transaction; receive customer selection of the graphical element for inclusion in the conversation box; and initiate presentation, concurrently with presentation of the conversation box and to the customer of the financial institution, of the graphical element or a representation of the graphical element superimposed over the conversation box or presented as part of the conversation box. In some embodiments, the presentation of the conversation box, once initiated, is persistent during presentation of an online banking session.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for providing a customer with a single transaction card that is tied to the customer's available payment vehicles. As such, the single transaction card may be utilized by the customer to complete a transaction with a merchant. Subsequently, based on customer rules or customer selection, the invention may direct the transaction to the selected payment vehicle. Rules include any preferences that a customer may input that allows the invention to automatically apply a single transaction card transaction to a payment vehicle. As such, rules may be trigged for a specific merchant, a specific transaction amount, a specific location, and/or the like. If a rule is triggered by a transaction made with the single transaction card, the triggered transaction will be automatically applied to the payment vehicle tied to that rule.
Abstract:
Aspects herein describe at least a new method, system, and computer readable storage media for facilitating bill payment by way of using an image of a check. A computing system may transmit a bill payment request to a wireless computing device associated with an account holder of a bill payment account. The computing system may determine whether an account holder of the bill payment account holds a funding account held at the first organization, and as a result, may transmit a request to the wireless computing device for an image of a check associated with a second organization when the account holder of the bill payment account does not hold a funding account at the first organization. Bill payment may be made by way of an ACH transaction using a routing number and an account number obtained from the image of the check.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for recommending payment vehicles for a transaction on a product-by-product basis based on available rewards for each product. In this way, the customer may complete a transaction with a merchant using a temporary line of credit. The invention may then apply individual products of the transaction to different recommended payment vehicles based on the maximum rewards each product may receive if applied to that payment vehicle. Once each product of the transaction has been reassigned to a recommended payment vehicle, the temporary line of credit may be terminated.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for generating a personal bank note using readable indicia for providing payment information to a merchant during a transaction with a user. Embodiments initiate generating the readable indicia on a portable hard copy, the readable indicia encoding the payment information for presentation to the merchant such that the merchant may read the readable indicia, determine the payment information stored in the readable indicia and complete the transaction using the determined payment information. Some embodiments initiate presenting a user interface for interacting with the user regarding the personal bank note; and receive, from an account owner using the user interface, and store the payment information in the memory device. Some such embodiments receive, from an account owner using the user interface, user input requesting generation of the readable indicia.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing special resource availability information to a customer. Embodiments determine that the customer is traveling to or is currently located in proximity to a financial institution physical location; determine special resource availability information associated with the financial institution physical location; and provide the determined special resource availability information to the customer. In some embodiments, the special resource availability information comprises information corresponding to an availability of at least one financial specialist based at the financial institution physical location. Some such embodiments, if the customer is travelling to the location, determine whether the at least one financial specialist will be present when the customer arrives at the location; and, if the customer is currently located in proximity to the location, determine whether the at least one financial specialist is present at the financial institution physical location.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention relate to systems, methods, and computer program products for targeting financial institution channel migration based on patterns or trends in a customer's transaction history. Once a trend is identified, such as a customer makes weekly deposits at a banking center, recommendations for alternative financial channels are determined which are optimal to the financial institution, the customer or both. Optimization is defined in terms of the customer by the recommended transaction channels being more efficient/less time-consuming and in terms of the financial institution the recommended transaction channels being more cost efficient. Once the recommended transactions channels are determined, an alert is communicated to the customer in the form of email, text message, online/mobile banking posting or the like.
