    Abstract: A method for transmitting a random access preamble to a base station includes generating the random access preamble from a Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence having a length N, wherein the random access preamble is generated by considering a cyclic shift of the ZC sequence; and transmitting the random access preamble to the base station, wherein the cyclic shift is given by using a variable M corresponding to a Doppler shift of one subcarrier spacing, and wherein parameters associated with defining the cyclic shift are differently defined based on whether the variable M is less than ⅓ of the length N.

    Abstract: A method of generating Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) information by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is discussed. The method includes receiving, by the UE from a base station (BS), a plurality of codewords through a plurality of downlink frequency bands related to a plurality of downlink carriers, wherein the UE is configured with a 1-codeword mode or a 2-codeword mode for each of the plurality of downlink frequency bands independently, and wherein a number of supported codewords is one for the 1-codeword mode or two for the 2-codeword mode; determining, by the UE, a total number of ACK/NACK bits, wherein the total number of ACK/NACK bits is determined based on a total number of the plurality of downlink carriers and the number of supported codewords; and generating, by the UE, a sequence of the ACK/NACK bits based on the total number of the ACK/NACK bits.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system which supports carrier aggregation. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for enabling a user equipment to perform a handover in a wireless communication system which supports carrier aggregation. The method for performing a handover comprises the steps of: transmitting a measurement report on a target cell to a serving cell; receiving, from the serving cell, a message containing a signature route sequence index, cyclic shift parameters, and information related to the component carrier of the target cell; confirming contention-based signatures generated on the basis of the signature route sequence index and cyclic shift parameters; and transmitting one of said contention-based signatures to the target cell for random access, via one or more component carriers, on the basis of said information related to the component carrier. The present invention also relates to an apparatus for the method.

    Abstract: A method for establishing a cyclic shift sequence to provide against the frequency offset is disclosed. The method calculates a distance between a channel response position of the sequence and an alias channel response position caused by a frequency offset, calculates the number of cyclic shifts per group according to the calculated distance, and establishes the cyclic shift (CS)-applying interval. This method easily establishes a cyclic shift (CS) interval at a specific location having no overlapping by considering a channel response of a reception (Rx) sequence and an alias location of this reception (Rx) sequence, although a reception (Rx) signal is shifted by a channel delay spreading or a propagation delay irrespective of categories of a domain generating a sequence, so that it can greatly reduce the number of the detection errors and the false alarm rate. And, if a sequence of the cyclic shift (CS) is allocated to a cell having a frequency offset of more than a predetermined level, the present invention can minimize the influence of a frequency offset on a high-mobility cell.

    Abstract: A method for receiving data by a relay station (RS) in a wireless communication system includes: receiving radio resource allocation information via an R-PDCCH (R-Physical Downlink Control Channel); and receiving data from a base station (BS) via an R-PDSCH (R-Physical Downlink Shared Channel) indicated by the radio resource allocation information, wherein the radio resource allocation information includes information regarding an allocation of resource blocks in a frequency domain and information regarding an allocation of OFDM symbols in a time domain.
