Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for programming base units of communication headset systems with new or updated configuration parameters by a portable or handheld programming unit.
Abstract:
A method of and a system for synchronizing isochronous audio data frames provided by a USB interface to a clock of a wireless RF communication device is provided. The USB interface and the wireless RF communication device are connected via an I2S link, the method comprising receiving the isochronous audio data frames and the wireless RF communication device clock in a streaming controller, phase locking the isochronous audio data frames to a USB interface clock, counting start-of-frame pulses of the phase locked isochronous audio data frames, comparing the counted start-of-frame pulses with the wireless RF communication device clock to determine a difference signal, the difference signal triggering a synchronization event code when a threshold difference has been reached, rate matching the isochronous audio data frames to the wireless RF communication device clock upon receiving the synchronization event code.
Abstract:
A headset (1; 101; 102) comprising a housing (2; 102; 103) and a microphone arm (3; 103; 203). The microphone arm (3; 103; 203) is connected to a hinge member (4; 104; 204), which is pivotally connected to the housing (2; 102; 103) such that the microphone arm (3; 103; 203) can be rotated about a first pivot axis (P1; P101; P201) between a first position, in which it lies along a first surface (9; 109; 209) of the housing (2; 102; 202) and a second, extended position in which it extends away from the housing (3; 103; 203). The microphone arm (3; 103; 203) is movably connected to the hinge member (4; 104; 204) so that the microphone arm (3; 103; 203) can be moved into a third position, in which it lies along a second surface (10; 110; 210) of the housing (2; 102; 202).
Abstract:
A communication device (1, 15, 25, 35) comprising a housing (2) with a housing wall (50) bounding a space (7). The housing (2) comprises a first housing part (3) and a second housing part (4), which are joined along a dividing line (40), whereby a first abutment face (41) of the first housing part (3) abuts a second abutment face (42) of the second housing part (4) along the dividing line (40). A first microphone transducer (8) is arranged in the housing (2). The first microphone transducer (8) comprises a microphone opening (9), which is connected to the space (7). The space (7) is communicating with the surroundings via a peripheral line (47) of housing openings (39) in the outer side (44) of the housing wall (50) arranged along the dividing line (40), and housing channels (46) extending between the housing openings (39) and the inner side (43) of the housing wall (50). The housing channels (46) and the housing openings (39) are provided as recessions (45; 48) in the first abutment face (41). The invention also relates to the manufacturing such a communication device.
Abstract:
A communication unit, e.g. a headset, constructed as a slave station which may be coupled to a plurality of master stations, e.g. a mobile telephone, via a short-ranged communications connection, such as of the Bluetooth type or the DECT type, and has a plurality of address fields in which one or more identification keys may be stored. At least one of the address fields has an associated electrical lock which may be unlocked only by an adapter master station having a unique indentification key. It is also possible to “lift” the receiver of the public switched telephone electrically or mechanically via the headset, so that a call and conversations from the public switched telephone may be made and take place via the headset. In an embodiment, the coupling box has a recess in which the headset may be placed and be charged via a charging unit in the coupling boy. The invention ensures that the public switched telephone is used as much as possible, which, in addition to a better sound reproduction, is favorable in terms of costs.
Abstract:
A PC containing a softphone is connected to a headset (14) by means of a control unit (9) which is connected to a USB gate (6) in the PC. The PC has a security function, which means that the PC can be accessed only by users who e.g. know an access code. The control unit (9), comprising inter alia a sound card, is equipped such that also commands may be given to the softphone (15), even if for security reasons the PC is blocked e.g. by a security code, it being possible to transfer a limited number of commands via the USB gate (6) from the control unit (9). The invention ensures that, irrespective of the state of the PC, the softphone can always be used, as the control unit (9) always gives access to it, which may be important, e.g. in connection with an emergency call.
