Abstract: A multi-sport athletic training device is provided, which is comprised of an elongate hollow container and a packing material. The elongate hollow container has a first end and a second end and is made of a flexible material. The first and second ends are closed to maintain the packing material within the elongate hollow container. The elongate hollow container is at least partially filled with the packing material such that the elongate hollow container absorbs impact and provides resistance. In exemplary embodiments, the packing material is sand. Exemplary embodiments of an athletic training device may further comprise a first clamp assembly closing the first end of the container and a second clamp assembly closing the second end of the container or two steel plates closing the first or second end of the container. Methods of manufacturing an athletic training device are also provided. A stand assembly for mounting an athletic training device is also provided.

Abstract: An integrated wing-shaped heavy bag is illustrated and described. Abstract: A new system of detecting, tracking, and logging force of impact data pertaining to independent impacts to a tackling sled or punching bag is described. The system employs at least one impact sensor, a wireless transmitter, a power source, and a companion application. The at least one impact sensor is equipped with at least one accelerometer configured to accurately detect the force of impact to a pad of the tackling sled or punching bag. The companion application communicates wirelessly to the impact sensor, which relays data to a mobile device or computer running the companion application. A leaderboard can be interfaced with the system, enabling competitive use of multiple impact sensors across multiple punching bags simultaneously.

Abstract: A punching bag mount which reduces trauma on the structure which the mount is attached to. A punching bag is attached to a connector on the mount which is typically repeatedly punched. The mount utilizes springs and flexible strips arranged in a radial pattern in order to absorb the energy of the blows, thereby reducing the amount of energy transferred to the structure. The mount would typically mount into floor beams of the floor above the room in which the mount and punching bag is installed.
