In some embodiments, each weight pod is soft so as to inhibit injury to a user of another close by the user. The weight pods can be used with one or more accessories, such as a strap, a bell bag that emulates a kettle bell, and a rucksack that can be configured to be a multifunctional component of an overall exercise system, among others.
