Abstract:
A swivel joint system for hanging a heavy punching bag from an overhead support has a swivel joint defining at least first and second perpendicular pivot axes and a hanging shaft having a lower end pivotally connected to the universal joint for rotation about the first pivot axis and an upper end configured for rotatable attachment to an overhead support for free rotation about a third pivot axis. A hanging tube is pivotally connected to the universal joint for rotation about the second pivot axis, and releasably secured to a mounting plate. A plurality of attachment members are rigidly attachable at spaced locations around the mounting plate to surround the hanging tube and configured for attachment to straps at the upper end of a heavy punching bag.
Abstract:
A portable doorway recreation device for use on a doorway frame comprises an L-shaped frame. A first horizontal elongate bar is attached to a riser of the L-shaped frame and a second horizontal elongate bar is attached to a base of the L-shaped frame. A vise clamp is operatively associated with the second elongate bar, wherein with the first elongate bar sitting on a top of the doorway frame on a first wall side and the second elongate bar operatively associated with a second wall side, the vise clamp is configured to receive a portion of the first and second wall sides to prevent movement of the second elongate bar away from the second wall side.
Abstract:
A free standing fight simulation workout machine with a fight simulation multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed apparatus is adapted to be used in conjunction with a slip and counter fight simulation apparatus or stand alone apparatus. The fight simulation multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed apparatus includes a multi-headed member having at least one head attached to at least one abdomen and at least one arm having a glove appending member. Preferably, multiple heads are attached to multiple abdomens with multiple arm pairs to provide different punch configurations for the user to strike at. The multi-headed, multi-abdomen, multi-armed provides various angles adapted for a user to punch, knee, and/or do a flying knee.
Abstract:
An apparatus for a lifelike, automated, heavy punching bag that can parry punches using robotic arms able to rotate to right and left, and sense and record the weight and accuracy of punches delivered to it. The boxing buddy system may be used by aspiring boxers and other martial artists to deliver punches to various strategic points of their opponent's anatomy.
Abstract:
Versatile exercise apparatus is portable and provides adjustable volume to weight ratio for multi-purpose weight, cardio, sport-specific, and martial arts training. Versatile exercise apparatus provides a user with the ability to adjust volume to weight ratio using a waterproof fillable cavity. The different markings on the transparent viewing window of the apparatus allow a user to vary the difficulty level of workouts by changing the corresponding weight of either water or sand added to the apparatus. Versatility is provided by the apparatus either being used as a backpack or a hand-held free weight, or a punching bag.
Abstract:
A boxing-based fitness training regimen takes place in a training area suffusing with UV light from one or more UV light sources. Non-UV lighting in the training area is adjusted to a level of semi-darkness, in which non-luminescent objects are visible but luminescent objects clearly stand out. Multiple training regimen stations located in the training area can include heavy bag, speed bag, double-end bag, medicine ball, skip rope, shadow boxing and focus mitt regimens. Within each station, one or more items of training equipment, such as bags, gloves, hand wraps, focus mitts, medicine balls and/or jump ropes, are provided. Some or all of the training equipment at each station is UV luminescent. On some items of training equipment, there are luminescent indicia, which provide as visual cues for sequencing and/or timing of movements. These luminescent indicia can be color-coded to operate in conjunction with correspondingly color-coded visual prompts from a nearby display screen, such as an LED display. The visual prompts, in turn, can be controlled by a programmable CPU or microprocessor, so as to provide multiple alternative sequences of movements at various speeds.
Abstract:
A martial arts training bag is provided having a substantially cylindrical upper portion and a tapered, e.g., frusto-conical, lower portion. The bag includes a central support and one or more training devices configured to be releasably connected to the central support. The bag includes at least four connectors to provide a four-point suspension.
Abstract:
An exercise apparatus includes a base frame formed of a pair of spaced, circular inner rails, each having an angularly-adjustable, semicircular side rail attached thereto. The upper portion of the base frame includes a pair of handlebars for performing certain pulling exercises. An elastomeric resistance band is securable to any one of a plurality of spaced rings positioned on the entire inner circumference of the inner rails and the side rails. An opposing end of the resistance band is secured to a wearable accessory to allow a user to perform virtually any desired exercise at various angles.
Abstract:
A martial arts training system disclosed herein includes the mounting assembly, the heavy bag, and head bags. The mounting assembly comprises a support plate section, an angle adjustment joint, and an angle adjustment dog. The angle adjustment joint comprising a plurality of first openings is attached to the support plate section. The angle adjustment dog is attached to the angle adjustment joint, wherein the adjustment dog comprising a multiple second openings. A locking pin is inserted between the first openings and second openings to set an angle of inclination for the angle adjustment dog, wherein the head bag is positioned above the heavy bag at a desired angle of inclination of a user. The heavy bag is mounted from a track assembly via chain sections to receive low punches and kicks from the user, and the head bags are selectively attached above the heavy bag via to receive head punches from the user.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a first plastic pipe. A padding surrounds a portion of the first plastic pipe. The padding comprises a material for mitigating injuries during striking. A cover encases the padding to further mitigate injury during striking. A pipe receiver grounds a motion of the plastic pipe to a structure. The pipe receiver comprises a bracket operable for joining to the structure, and a collar disposed between the bracket and the pipe for mitigating movement of the pipe within the bracket. A second plastic pipe and third plastic pipe mitigates stress on the first plastic pipe, wherein a strike to the padding flexes the plastic pipe and the plastic pipe springs back.
