Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for scheduling of an enhanced sector level sweep (SLS). A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) monitors beacon frames transmitted from one or more access points associated with the WTRU. The WTRU receive the beacon frames over multiple transmission sectors during a time interval. The WTRU then compiles the transmission sectors information in a list and ranks the sectors in the list, based on the sectors' characteristics. Then, the WTRU transmits the list over one sector of the list to the one or more access points.

Abstract: A method performed by a STA may comprise transmitting a first negotiation message to an AP and receiving a second negotiation message from the AP. The first negotiation message and the second negotiation message may negotiate a block acknowledgement agreement. The method may further comprise receiving a data unit, from the AP, the data unit having a duration field indicating a duration of a block-ACK frame. The duration of the block-ACK frame may be determined based on the negotiated block ACK agreement. A block-ACK frame may be transmitted within the duration indicated by the duration field.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for adaptation of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mode in mmW Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems. A first station (STA) may receive a mode change request from a second STA. The mode change request may indicate a mode change for a MIMO mode, a polarization mode, and/or an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) mode. The mode change request may include one or more STA fields. The one or more STA fields may include a STA field associated with the first STA. Each of the one or more STA fields may include a MIMO mode subfield, a polarization mode subfield, and/or an OFDMA mode subfield. The first STA may change the MIMO mode, the polarization mode, and/or the OFDMA mode, for example, based on the mode change request. The first STA may send a mode change response to the second STA.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for adapting clear channel assessment (CCA) thresholds with or without Transmit Power Control (TPC) are disclosed. An IEEE 802.11 station (STA) may dynamically calculate a STA specific transmit power control (TPC) value and a STA specific clear channel assessment (CCA) value based on a target TPC parameter and a target CCA parameter. The target TPC parameter and the target CCA parameter may be received from an IEEE 802.11 cluster head configured to control TPC and CCA for a plurality of STAs associated with the BSS. The target TPC parameter and the target CCA parameter also may be related. The STA may then determine whether a carrier sense multiple access (CSMA) wireless medium of a wireless local area network (WLAN) basic service set (BSS) is occupied or idle based on the STA specific CCA value.

Abstract: Device, systems, and/or techniques for using sub-channel signaling information between an access point and a first station are disclosed. An uplink trigger sent from the access point to the first station may be received. A map may be transmitted from the first station indicating at least one sub-channel that is available for spatial sharing by a second station. The first station may receive an acknowledgement from the access point that data was transmitted from the second station on the at least one sub-channel and/or received by the at least one access point. An OFDMA transmission having a sub-channel/sub-band available for transmitting data may be determined. An energy in the sub-channel/sub-band may be measured and/or compared to a dynamic and/or static threshold. Whether a sub-channel/sub-band is free or busy may be determined for example based on if the measured energy is, or is not, greater than the threshold.

The ULR frame may include information related to a traffic stream for which the STA is requesting one or more transmission opportunities. The related information may include a determined priority associated with the traffic stream and a requested ACK type. The transmission opportunity may be one or more of a single user transmission opportunity, part of a multi-user transmission opportunity, or a peer-to-peer transmission opportunity.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for beamforming training using a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU). A WTRU may receive an indication of a number of space time slots (STSs) from an access point (AP) within a beacon frame during a beamforming training allocation. The WTRU may send a response signal to the AP in a specific STS based on a function of the number of STSs. The WTRU may receive an acknowledgement (ACK) from the AP confirming the response was received. Alternatively, the AP may send a signal indicating that a collision occurred and alter the number of STSs, and the WTRU may try again in the next beamforming training allocation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for communication in a network of WLAN overlapping basic service set (OBSS) are disclosed. A station or an access point may indicate its interference reporting and inter-BSS coordination capabilities in a message. At least one of quality of service (QoS) settings, transmission opportunity (TXOP), restricted access window (RAW) or beacon subinterval schedules, or traffic indication map (TIM) or uplink access window assignment may be coordinated. The station may receive a request for interference measurements on the basic service set (BSS) of the station or neighboring BSSs that the station can overhear. The station may transmit an interference measurement report to an access point. The coordination may be performed based on the interference measurement report. Furthermore, STAs may transmit channel or sector preferences to APs and receive channel or sector assignments.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for rediscovery and medium access for wake-up radios. For example, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive, via a first transceiver, a frame that includes a wake-up radio (WUR) operation element having a first counter value. The WTRU may deactivate the first transceiver and activate a second transceiver, wherein the first transceiver enters into a doze state and the second transceiver is in an awake state. The WTRU may then receive, via the second transceiver in the awake state, a WUR frame that includes a second counter value indicating an update of a plurality of basic sewer set (BSS) parameters associated with the first transceiver. On a condition that the second counter value is different than the first counter value, the WTRU may activate the first transceiver to update the plurality of BSS parameters, wherein the first transceiver enters into an awake state.
