Abstract:
Compounds of the formula I in which R1 denotes CONR4R5, R2 denotes H or A, R4 and R5, independently of one another, each denote H or A1, R3 denotes Hal, Hal denotes F, Cl, Br or I, A denotes alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms, A1 denotes alkyl having 1-10 carbon atoms, X denotes alkylene having 1-4 carbon atoms, in which an ethylene group may also be replaced by a double or triple bond, and their physiologically acceptable salts and/or solvates, as phosphodiesterase VII inhibitors, and their use for the preparation of a medicament.
Abstract:
Arylalkanoylpyridazine derivatives of the formula I and their physiologically acceptable salts and solvates, in which R1, R2, Q and B have the meanings indicated in Claim 1, show an inhibition of phosphodiesterase IV and can be employed for the treatment of asthma, chronic bronchitis, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and other skin diseases, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, such as, for example, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, diabetes mellitus or ulcerative colitis, osteoporosis, transplant rejection reactions, cachexia, tumor growth or tumor metastases, sepsis, memory disorders, atherosclerosis and AIDS.
Abstract:
Network elements of a synchronous digital communications system have a clock generator for generating a clock signal locked to an input signal. Such a clock generator comprises a tunable oscillator (OSC) and a phase comparator (PK) for comparing the phase of the input signal (IN) with the phase of the clock signal (CLK) and for generating a correction signal which serves to tune the oscillator (OSC). To avoid phase transients due to interruptions and disturbances in the input signal (IN), means (WD) are provided for determining an expectancy window, for deciding whether the correction signal lies within the expectancy window, and for tuning the oscillator with the correction signal if the correction signal lies within the expectancy window.
Abstract:
A method and a device for determining a pressure variable, in particular in a braking system having a delivery pump. The differential pressure between a first line and a second line is determined using as a baseline a variable which represents a measure for the speed of the delivery pump.
Abstract:
A device for printing stock standing on one edge, in particular a piece of mail in a postage meter and/or addressing machine, includes a guide plate for the stock which is inclined relative to the vertical and has a recessed region for a printing device. A rotating conveyor has a conveying plane which extends orthogonal to the guide plate and on which the stock stands on one edge and is transported in one direction while resting against the guide plate. The recessed region includes at least one cutout and a region of the guide plate downstream of the cutout is so far recessed from a bearing surface for the stock that there is no contact with the latter in this location. This ensures sufficient penetration time for the ink and prevents smearing of the printed image. The printing device is an ink jet printing device which is stationary during printing and which has a nozzle plane that extends parallel to the guide plate. The guide plate is inclined a maximum of 45.degree. from vertical. The conveyor runs continuously. This structure simplifies transport of the piece of mail, improves the printing technology and ensures a clean printed image at high throughput.
Abstract:
An oil separator for separating oil from oil-laden air has a housing, an inlet for oil-charged air to enter the housing, one or more coalescer elements arranged on a support body inside the housing, and outlets for the separated air and for the separated oil to exit the housing. Each end of the support body and a corresponding end of the coalescer element are fastened to a molded component. At least one molded component is in sealing contact with a sealing surface of the housing.
Abstract:
Arylalkyl-thiadiazinone derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## and physiologically unobjectionable salts thereof in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and Q have the meanings given in claim 1, exhibit phosphodiesterase IV inhibition and can be used for the therapy of asthmatic disorders.
Abstract:
A vascular graft having a pleated circumference accommodates blood pressure changes with minimal change in internal surface area. A highly compliant graft may be made from a wide variety of polymers including non-elastomeric materials.
Abstract:
Receivers for bandspread signals have a carrier PLL (20) for the carrier frequency and phase and a code PLL (20, 30 . . . 34) for the code frequency and phase. To be able to receive even very noisy signals, the carrier PLL, in particular, must have a very narrow bandwidth. This results in a very narrow capture range.According to the invention, instead of employing a complicated search strategy, advantage is taken of the fact that the code PLL locks in more easily. A signal is taken from the code PLL which indicates the difference between the desired value and the actual value of the code frequency. This signal is fed as an additional control signal to the carrier PLL.
